Det. Warner was an outstanding detective. Classic old school detective. He was quiet but had a quirky sense of humor. Prayers for his family.

They used to have an obstacle course at in service where you ran in and around the cones. I remember Paul doing it one year with a cigarette in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. R.I.P. Paul

Paul was a great guy.Nothing rattled him. I remember a time I was at Grady working a B.S. shooting when I was notified of an assault case in the pediatric ward. When I arrived, there were two doctors telling me they had a critical case of child sexual abuse. Myself and the doctors watched as the 3 year old slowly died on the treatment table. You know I have watched numerous people die of violent injuries but never a young child.I was in shock. Back then Youth and Sex crimes detectives handled these types of cases. Was I ever so happy to see Paul Warner because I knew Paul had the expertise to handle the case properly.Child abuse cases takes specialized skills. Paul had those skills. R.I.P Paul
