An obvious last resort to kowtow to the community with church affiliation, etc. I wonder how many takes it took in his obvious script reading to appear sincere?

14 new indictments added today? for a total of 28? Ellis - you can't honestly believe that these charges are baseless, that they are entirely politically motivated. Not all the charges will stick, but some will. Go have a pity party with Vernon Jones and don't come back. Please.

His day and the rest of the corrupt dekalb employees day is coming. Erkle is a cry baby!

What an idiot!!!....you ever notice that when one tries harder to cover lies...the faster it catches up with them???

I would love to see him at a stop light...because I would let him know just how much I feel that he has raped this county....if you ever watched him before he was the CEO....back when he was a commissioner...you could see the wheels turning for him to get this position.

Well...you got it...and you took an extreme position to take advantage of it.....so bend over baby....I think I would start looking at extra healthcare....because when the courts are done with you.....the inmates will not even be interested in you!!!...

Good things come to those whose wait. I've been waiting....and it's about to pay off.

Erkle is nothing than a slime bag who got his dumbass butt caught. He thinks that just because he has a college education and law degree, that makes him above the law. What really funny is that another lawyer got his ass indicted because he just happened to be a little smarter.

Say good by to your wife, your mother, your kids, your dog, your house and say hello to your new friends at one of the State's finest hotels with free running water, heat, lights, excellent food, free medical, free dental, and hospitalization if needed.

When your kids grow up and see that their Daddy is still in the State hotel and wondering why he isn't home, then maybe the kids will realize that Daddy was a piece of corrupt shit after all.

Ellis' ploy here to try to sway the court of public opinion reminds me of many famous 'I didn't do it' speeches by politicians in the wake of public scrutiny and possible criminal repercussions. Nixon, wasn't a crook, Clinton didnt get his boy's sucked in the oval office, Weiner didnt show his bulge to random women on the internet, Blagojevich didnt try to sell Obama's Seat, Jesse Jackson Jr. didnt misuse campaign funds. We've all seen how those turned out, but hey, why go by precedent, maybe Ellis really didnt do it. Maybe Christie knew nothing about the "Bridge" issues. Maybe Williams-Woodard-Whatever, and "Take a Wiz" Miller are not incompetent, nor liars. We hope, and we wish.

And when you wish upon a star...you don't get jack-shit because stars have no mystical relevance to what goes on here on earth.

Stick Together and Stay Safe out there.

This is a very obvious and pathetic attempt to pollute the minds of the jurors before the trial has even started.

First Ellis tried to block the Special Grand Jury transcripts from being released. Why? If there's nothing incriminating, why would it matter? If you did nothing wrong, what do you need to hide?

Then Ellis tried to have the whole thing squashed by saying the Special Grand Jury exceeded their scope. Again, why so desperate to block what they found? If you did nothing wrong, why so desperate to block what they found?

Then Ellis accused James of doing exactly what he's been indicted before, because James hosted a "party" on tax payer time and money. That has since been debunked. It was a fundraiser for a senior center in DeKalb. James didn't make a nickel off of it.

Then Ellis tried to say the secret recordings of him were made illegally. If there's nothing incriminating to hear on those recordings, why are you so desperate to block them? If they were completely innocent conversations, wouldn't they help prove this is a witch hunt against you? Wouldn't they help your pathetic claims of persecution? But you sure are desperate to have those recordings never heard! Gee, why is that??

Ellis is throwing everything he can at the wall and hoping something sticks. It shows his pathetic desperation. It shows how scared he is to go to trial. If the state had nothing on him, he wouldn't be using these tactics .

I suppose he needed all the police resources for his protection detail to protect him from vendors he was shaking down just like VJ. If I were a victim of crime in Dekalb I'd slap a punitive suit on him for misappropriation of resources directly resulting in my victimization due to lack of police availability.

Anytime your defense relies solely on the fact that evidence was possibly gathered illegally rather than I'm unequivocally innocent speaks volumes. A plea deal would be the next logical step for defense.

How difficult is it in this world to simply do an honest day's work for an honest day's pay, be appreciative you're healthy enough for that and not live beyond one's means? Greed is what has ruined this economy and country as a whole. Good riddance...

Hey Lee May,
You asked your newly appointed Public Safety Chief Operating Officer if he still stands behind Ellis. Or did your raise and free pass from POST certification change his loyalty? Mr. May you may want to be cautious asking this new friend to do your dirty work like you have begun to do for he may one day turn evidence on you. Don't think there aren't witnesses when he is trying to carry out your favors.

No on told him Lee May is the current Dekalb CEO? Someone is delusional.

"Honest, open and transparent government" WTF? sounds like a page right out of Barry O's playbook. It's been proven false for him, why would we ever believe Vernon Jr.???

Well we are back to the former type of operation, we have a white token police chief with no power. A new title for Public Safety Director along with another increase in budget. Let's see he will a driver or several drivers and how many people will be assign to his office?

Reminds me of the story of the Police Chief meeting the CEO in a bar. The CEO asks the Chief if he'll have relations with him for a million dollars. The Chief says "of course". "How about ten dollars?" asks the CEO. "What do you think I am" asks the Chief to which the CEO responds, "We've already established that, now we're just negotiating price."

Sounds like 6:56 has some issues lol.

Mr. Alexander didn't they teach you about slipping notes back in elementary school. Or did you skip that and go straight to the Phd program. You gonna get Mr. May in trouble with the teacher!

Anyone rememebr when the Fulton Commissioners had SWAT team guys driving them around all day in unmarked SUV's?

Fulton saw 5 new cities formed and the county budget cut in half.

Same is coming for Dekalb folks, you will see more cities form, more PD's, a regional crime lab that doesnt include DKPD, a regional swat team that doesnt include DKPD and north fulton PD's and Dunwoody are already talking about a joint air support unit. All their chiefs were talking about it at the last chiefs conference.

Hold your breath about the Ellis case. If the defense recalls Don Geary on cross, the D.A. might be sucking wind. They asked why Geary resigned and transferred to Cobb. He calmly stated,"I did not want to go to jail". Damn, that just sounds "really" bad to me.

Anonymous said...

Erkle still got pull because the County workers salted his street or did one of the contractors who got a big contract from Erkle do the job?

Anonymous said...

So because Don Geary said that it makes it true? And he said he left because he didn't want to go to jail, but he left almost a full year after this supposedly happened?? Surely you're smarter than that.

Vernon Jones for Sheriff? Seriously? The same controversial politician who refused to answer questions before a special grand jury. The same Vernon that had Don Franks as his Deputy Chief? The same O Vernon who has placed illegal campaign signs unlawfully throughout the county thus violating county ordinances and state laws, for Sheriff? Now seriously voters.
