Vernon surrounded himself with dirty cops that he protected. Don Frank went from a being a Sgt who should have been fired for illegally running people on Ncic to a Lt, then Major, then Assistant Chief in less than a year. He was protected from any repercussions for anything he did because of his long friendship with Vernon. Then Vernon put him in charge of the unit responsible for conducting public corruption investigations. How convenient for Vernon! Don Frank is now in federal prison for corruption! Vernon created and protected that monster! Is this who you want as Sheriff? Someone with a documented history of protecting and utilizing dirty cops?

Hi ya Vernon. Welcome back Cowboy!

Anonymous said...

Blogmaster, please give us some topics relative to DKPD to discuss. I couldn't care less about VJ running for sheriff. We are the police. Lets discuss the lack of a raise, take home cars that were promised and have yet to be delivered to uniform officers. VJ has been gone for 6 years. Burrel Ellis didn't do shit for us,but he gets a pass? We have bigger fish to fry. Let the sheriffs dept. fight their own battles.

Give it a freakin rest all ready. The damn primaries haven't even taken place and there are several candidates who have thrown their hat into the race....What the hell makes any of you think that this Ass Clown Vernon is going to get the bid...I know of at least 3 other people he has to beat just in a primary race...

You got to give it to the blogmaster...make up a story before there is even a story...

You act as if he's the only man on the ticket.

Anonymous said...

VJ as "high sheriff"...... That is exactly what DeKalb County deserves. Hes wearing the black cowboy hat in that picture too......how fitting.

Anonymous said...

Please don't punish us anymore. We've had enough already.

Anonymous said...

I grew up watching westerns. Still watch em today. One thing I always found to be true.... The good guys always wear WHITE hats and the bad guys wear BLACK hats!!!!
I'm just sayin!!!!!

Anonymous said...

GOD help us...

Anonymous said...

Given the voters of this county, I am sure he will be the next Sheriff. Even though, there are plenty of qualified people in the race, there are people who think he did a great job as CEO.

Anonymous said...

That's Right! And his name is Vernon Jones. We support you Mr. Jones but haters will talk.

Anonymous said...

Seems about right for that place. ENJOY...

Anonymous said...

That is a g.d. slap in the face of every county employee that works here, and every single one, that has ever worked here. But,don't think for a second, that once elected by the ignorant voters of this county, that he won't remain in office just as long as he wants to. Say what you want about Tom Brown, but he was at least "street savvy" enough,to stay out of the news, because of repetitive malfeasance and corruption! V.J. reminds me of The Teflon Don/John Gotty, except for his closet issues involving "certain preferences and racism". AND JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY GET ANY WORSE !! Good job F.B.I.! Your usual, impotent, top notch investigative work, and standard lack of prosecution, that all in law enforcement has become used to. Just let some little "road police" slap the sh*t out of some deserving county multi-probationer,and it's "RELEASE THE HOUNDS".(I would rather have a sister that works in a Tijuana whore house, than a brother that works for the F.B.I.)! 2 harsh ?

Anonymous said...

Cowboy? I hear he likes it bareback.

Anonymous said...

Who cares about him. Keep it moving, that's not our fight to worry about. Next topic.

Anonymous said...

From a veteran Dekalb County employee who is enjoying my retirement years ........ if I were still employed there and he was elected, I'd have to pour gasoline on myself and lite it.

Anonymous said...

Now......if you want to the county to take a real hit.....Don't call Neil Flit, or the Strong Arm, or One Call That's All. Call on that crazy, good for nothing, useless parasite, always looking for a favor or a political job Jones.

He is guaranteed to fuck up this county more than it is now. He will hire some of the most crooked deputies who have rap sheets ten miles long, and turn this useless county into a living hell.

Be careful what y'all vote for as dirt is on the way

From Vernon Jones' Website:
The Sheriff’s office has three primary responsibilities, which include managing the daily operations of the county jail, providing security to our courts, and law enforcement. I share your vision of a safer DeKalb. As your Sheriff, I will commit to increasing the Sheriff Department’s participation in DeKalb County’s war on crime. I will be committed to supporting and augmenting not only the DeKalb County Police Department, but all of the law enforcement agencies throughout DeKalb.

Augment or assimilate? I think you know the answer to that one.

Anonymous said...

The consolidation of Dekalb law enforcement is already in the works. Vernon Jones, if elected, and most likely will be due to the name being the only one anyone knows, has started his campaign to consolidate the police force into one large department---- the Sheriff's dept. With the cities being created, it is only a matter of time before everyone reports to VJ!!!

Anonymous said...

Hmmmmm......VJ wants to be sheriff in 2014.....Don Frank will be released in 2015 and Daren Durrett not far behind set to be release in 2018. What better way for VJ to help his ole buddies out by giving them a place in the S.O. Since his buddies have a fair share of knowledge about corrections.Oh what's that both of them are felons,oh well who cares VJ is the Sheriff. He will uphold the law to the lowest degree. Wonder how many nephews he has now who are still claiming to gang bang like the one macho nephew he had from 07 or 08 days I recall in E precinct. I'm sure VJ will make an ass out of himself again and flip the S.O quicker than a pancake from IHOP. Any blind dog can see the b.s in the making.

Anonymous said...

Go for it Vernon!!!!!!

THe FEDs are pretty good at putting dirty sheriffs in jail........

You'll be one of them.............Go for it!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

What does anyone know about a longtime now retired lawman who is throwing his hat in the ring fot the Sheriff's race by the name of Ted Golden?

Anonymous said...

To the idiots who don't think this matters to DKPD, it sure as hell does. If more new cities form and more annexations occur, you can bet that there will be strong consideration of merging PD and SO. Vernon's already buddied up with Burrell since he had him as a guest on his radio show. If Vernon wins (which he very well might) and Burrell is found not guilty due to James' possibly illegal actions, look for the two of them to challenge Lee May and Cedric Alexander for top dog and top cop. What's left of unincorporated DeKalb won't be worth much, but these guys don't have high standards; they're power hungry and will take whatever they can get.

Anonymous said...

Definition of Vermin:
Nuisance to society, dangerous threat to mankind. Does this fit Vernon? ....to a tee.

Anonymous said...

When the PD is integrated into the Sheriff's Department, will we still need a psychologist who is neither a POST certified peace officer or fireman?

Anonymous said...

Yall standby to get fitted with cowboy hats just like his. Your gonna be his posse, and hes gonna ride you hard ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT! I am so glad I left Dekalb. The smartest thing I ever did. This whole thing reminds me of that western movie "silverado" where the sheriff was the biggest crook of all.
Now Yall mount up, put your black cowboy hats on, and go get them bad guys....its a war on crime.....remember.

Anonymous said...

Let's talk about take home cars...or the lack there of....yeah let's talk about the internal rifts that will be created when a few get take homes, and everyone else is basically just told fuck you.....this place is a toilet bowl through and through!!

Anonymous said...

Damn, if I didn't know any better I would say that black cowboy hat is the same one that Sidney Dorsey wore while he was Sheriff.

Anonymous said...

What's the take on Tony Hughes running for Sheriff? I've also seen Melody Maddox as a candidate.

Anonymous said...

Vernon couldn't even beat Hank "Guam is going to tip over" Williams for Congress.

Anonymous said...

Can't wait to hear "Hail to the Chief" being played everytime he holds a staff meeting. This guy didn't realize what a dipstick we all thought he was when we were forced to attend his "State of the County" speeches. What a sorry POS this wierdo is.

Anonymous said...

The current Congressman is Hank Johnson, not Williams.

Reminds me of Blazing Saddles, "there is a new Sheriff in town.....break, Excuse me while i whip this out."

The rape charge at the W hotel in Dunwoody that his staff took the rap for, Don Frank, murder of County Attorney Hicks (discovered by Don Frank), Derwin and a thousand other issues.

Sad that we used to be the best county in the US in both law enforcement and education. Last in both now. And VJ will get elected on name recognition.

Anonymous said...

He is THE ONLY candidate to have thousands upon thousands of people to vote for him in both (mostly) winning and a losing effort. If just the Dekalb voters who voted for him in his loss voted for him again, it would be more than most current candidates could ever hope for on need to be Sheriff. To discount him as less than the most formidable opponent shows serious lack of wisdom on the matter. The Sheriff's office may have a direct impact on DKPD operations regarding a merger and even daily operations depending on how much juice he has if elected. IT IS a DKPD specific topic. People who think they know him, hate him. Same as above..but love him and for the rest, he has name recognition above the others. Don't sleep. He IS the frontrunner.

Anonymous said...

He is not the front runner. Dekalb voters finally have had enough corruption. Vermin would take us back to Sydney Dorsey style poltics.

Anonymous said...

If Vermin is elected I promise you that we deputies will have to kneel down and kiss his ass while he marches in to the tune of "Hail to the chief".

Anonymous said...

The chief was just sworn in as the interim Sheriff which will allow him to run as the incumbent on the ticket. The chief has been running the department over there for 12 years and will be the best candidate for sheriff. No he does not have name recognition, but he is working on that from what I hear. He has a lot of elected officials endorsing him and that helps too. Check him out www.mann4sheriff.com or on facebook Jeff Mann for sheriff

Anonymous said...

I'm voting for Hughes.

Anonymous said...

The Interim Sheriff Jeff re Mann was a county attorney under Vernon Jones's administration. He also has no law enforcement experience except being a cronie of Tom Brown. Just ask Jeff Cato.

Anonymous said...

Google the name Clarence Brantley for those of you whom are not already familiar. Then when you read his history wonder to yourselves why our current Sheriff has such a close connection to him. Tom Brown bent over backwards to help him on several occasions with his bars / clubs. If you can't find him call the DEA and ask if they know him.

Anonymous said...

Maybe so but politics do create some strange bed-fellows. The worst issue here is the fact that Vernon's ego is so astronomical that he think's he can be sheriff. With his history of cloudy performance, he needs to run for........ the county line. :-)

Anonymous said...

With so many candidates running for this position it could get interesting. Several appear to be capable to do the job. The only standout that seems to be just trying to fill his ego is Vernon Jones. I believe the voters will be atuned to his reasoning.

Anonymous said...

Chief Jeff Mann is certainly the most qualified person for the job of DeKalb County Sheriff.

For the last 12 years, he has served shoulder-to-shoulder with Sheriff Thomas Brown. As Deputy Chief, he is already responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Jail, Field, Court and Administrative Divisions. He already manages the $78 million dollar budget in a fiscally responsible way to maximize the department’s services to DeKalb County residents. He already inspires, motivates and mentors the 860 officers and support personnel under his command.

Jeff’s entire career has prepared him for this position.

1981
He joined the United States Air Force and served honorably in Europe and Stateside for 4 years.
1985
After military service, he earned a Bachelor of Political Science degree from the University of Illinois.
1987
He entered law school at the University of Michigan.
1990
He graduated with his Juris Doctorate Degree and began in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, litigating employment and labor law.
1993
He recommitted to public service, joining the DeKalb County Law Department as an Assistant County Attorney. During his tenure, he served as the lead trial attorney for the DeKalb County CEO, the Board of Commissioners and the agency and department heads. The relationships he built with city, county and state leadership earned him respect and admiration.
2000
He graduated from Leadership DeKalb.
2001
Newly elected Sheriff Tom Brown approached Jeff to be the new Director of Labor Relations and Legal Affairs for the Sheriff’s Office. He agreed, and Jeff played a major role in the Sheriff’s turnaround strategy.
2004
He was promoted to Chief of Staff.
2006
He completed law enforcement training, winning both the top academic award and the top Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) award.
2007
Jeff was named Chief Deputy, the highest non-elected position within the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeff’s commitment to public service.

All of his life, Jeff has been honing his leadership skills and sharpening his commitment to public service. Jeff, a resident of Stone Mountain who attends Berean Christian Church, is not only active in the community through his professional life, but also in his personal life. Jeff has served as the president of the DeKalb Lawyer’s Association. He has been a mentor for the Big Brothers / Big Sisters Program of Atlanta. Jeff maintains his membership with the State Bar of Georgia as well as the DeKalb County Bar Association.

Ready to Lead

Chief Jeff Mann is ready to lead – to maintain the forward momentum that DeKalb has seen over the last decade. He has already proven his steady hand, focused discipline and honorable character. He already has the respect of his officers, the ear of County leadership and the trust of the people.

Clearly, Jeff Mann is the person DeKalb County needs as Sheriff!

red said...

I hope the citizens consider electing Chief Mann. Don't get so "hung up on this police thing". That hasn't exactly worked out to well,on the p.d. side of the house, lately. Sounds like the man has paid his dues. At least he is probably smart enough, not to step into any of the Decatur crowds sh*t. At least he is actually doing his job over there, and is making everybody else do their's. If nothing else, that alone is a more than pleasant change. Watch closely, how he responds to the Ellis "smoke and mirrors/pretend trial". That will say it all.

Anonymous said...

Hey Jeff Mann, thank you for posting on our site and providing a list of all of your so called qualifications but the fact remains that you have NO POLICE EXPERIENCE! You want to be the highest law enforcement officer in the County and you haven't answered the first 911 call. You're a joke! You're a freakin attorney! You want your Deputies to respect a man who hasn't walked a single inch in their shoes? My advice to you, go back and open a law practice so you can defend some of the perps that we risk our lives every day locking up.

Anonymous said...

Vernon Jones is supported by the bonding companies and strip clubs. Just the kind of leadership Dekalb does not needs. Dekalb voters look a little deeper into his supporters. His financial supporters are all connected to these types of businesses.Don't expect the news media to expose it.

Anonymous said...

You don't have to have police experience to run the jail, since the deputies are not "police". They manage the "intolerable" job of managing the jail, court services, and serve warrants. Personally,I tip my hat to them. I wouldn't have that job at any pay. We deal with these thugs just a little while. They deal with them long term. A manager,is a manager. Bottom line! Their job is to insure that their ranks are staffed with experienced /qualified personnel. They handle budgets, administration, manpower, etc. Check your leadership history. Gen. Eisenhower was strictly an administrative general. Never heard a shot fired in anger. I don't think he even carried a weapon during W.W.2. Gen. Patton,on the other hand, was a real soldier, led from the front, and fought alongside the troops. There aren't any more Patton's. All are "paper tiger administrators"now! True,we have some experienced police as supervisors, but most are posers that are "rank, and job scared". I would rather deal with an experienced administrator, than some "go along to get along/feather my own nest" supervisor. Wise up! You better concentrate on "somebody, anybody" that will just do his job!

Anonymous said...

What happened to good reporters like Dale Cardwell, who wasn't afraid to expose Sydney Dorsey? Derwin would have made a great Sheriff. Someone needs to expose Vermin Jones should he be stupid enough to run.

Anonymous said...

I agree Jeff Mann get off of this post with your campaigning. Go back to law practice. You have no law enforcement history, same as Vernon, both of you need to drop out of the race and follow politicking ass Tom Brown somewhere.

Anonymous said...

Once a crook. . . . . Always a crook. Go Vermin.

Anonymous said...

Vernon has defintely solidified the support of the media. He has coached and persuaded them to really promote him. One thing about this race is this, true enough Vernon has been an administrator, but what this department needs is an administrator who understands Law Enforcement! Vernon showed Dekalb how aware he was when he hired Terrell Bolton as a shoe in on the election process while he was an administrator of this county. Terrell Left the Police Department a mess while two officers were slain by a thug whom they were trying to sell drugs to. Are we really speaking of Vernon Jones? The same Vernon Jones who narrowly escaped sexual allegations upon leaving office. The same Vernon Jones who when he realized that he wouldn’t win as a democrat in a Congressional Race suddenly changed to a Republican qualifier? How loyal are you to the citizens of Dekalb? This is the individual who is touting ” Our Sheriff”!
Then comes Jeff Mann… He has worked under Thomas Brown, and has taken all of the credits under his administration. But has he accepted his failures? Has he accepted the fact that out of at least 70% of the personal friends that Thomas Brown has hired has all been under indictment while working with the sheriff’s office? The most recent being a Sgt who held a Violation of a Controlled Substance Act was still hired because of his affiliation and then was arrested for stealing inmates personal information for financial gain? How much is Jeff Mann for bettering the Department when he boasts on the Moral which has not increased since he has held the position of Chief Deputy from the late Louis Graham? The Department is at an all time low! The Triple Crown Accreditation? There are far more better Departments who operate 100% better that don’t hold this financially funded award!
Let’s Make Sure we look at the Credentials of Each Candidate! Look at who can bring True Leadership to this Office! Let’s Sincerely Make the Right Choice!

Anonymous said...

If You Vote Jeff Mann, You vote for the same politics that made you want to rid Thomas brown of the Public Safety Position for Dekalb County. Jeff Mann has no clue of what's going on in the Sheriff's Department. He only knows of a few things that don't matter. When Jeff was selected as Chief Deputy, he along with Thomas Brown looked for one individual to give them advice on how things operated. Dale Collins. They will never admit this because they knew that this time would come. Dale Collins would become Sheriff and right the wrong that has existed for the past 14 yrs.He understands and knows all of the issues that have existed. Because of the Bullying tactics of the Big 3, Brown, Mann & Fortson he was never able to express the issues while there. This department will never grow if the "Brown Cloud" remains. Let's make this department better. There is no reason as to why PD & SO cant work collaboratively to make this county run. Stop the Politics and do whats best for Dekalb County.

Anonymous said...

Dale Collins is the better candidate for Sheriff. He is not a politician. He is a true Law Enforcement Officer. He is great role model with over 20 plus years service in this great profession. I was once one of his subordinates. He has truly inspired me to aim for my goals and try to exceed my goals. Dale Collins has always been firm but fair to everyone he encounters.
I have worked under Jeff Mann. He honestly has no clue on what’s going on inside of the Jail. He has let a group of incompetent so called leaders (Command Staff) run his jail into the ground. He promotes those who are not qualified to be supervisors without any testing. Sergeants stripes are now given to those who are the majors personal favorites or if they played on the Majors football team. Months later to find out that one Sergeant that was promoted was a ring leader of stealing innocent people’s credit card information. Under Jeff Mann Dekalb is taking a potential costly risk to the citizens of Dekalb County because of Negligent Retention and Negligent Supervision.
Vernon Jones is the reason why Dekalb is no longer one of the wealthiest counties. He is the reason why cities like Brookhaven and Dunwoody exist.
Vote for Dale Collins.

An elected Sheriff still needs a touch of being a politician in him to be successful in getting along with other leaders that will cross his path.

Anonymous said...

Did you say "a touch of politician"? That s the same criteria for being a g.d. criminal. What color is the sky in your universe?

Anonymous said...

A touch of politician, you say. That's like being "a touch of criminal"! V.J. is not "a touch of anything". He is more "full blown". Doh !!!

Anonymous said...

Vermin is a full blown ballsack. When I posted "touch of politics", I meant the new sheriff should have some of this political ability to get along with commissioners, etc. I wasn't refering to the stooge Vermin Jones.

Anonymous said...

The Sheriff is an administrator and is not required to be in law enforcement. You can make all the opinionated statements about a candidate but if you have no facts to support them it means nothing. The real fact is the majority of you mud slingers can't vote in this election and that's a fact.

Ass Clown, accused of rape, victim went to Rockdale County, pull the report.

Haaaaa Anon 8:46 he was arrested and charged with what??? I forgot the FACTS of the case.

Anonymous said...

Vernon had two dirty cops serving fed time on his security detail. The cops closest to Vernon were dirty. He brought in the racist Chief Graham, then Chief Bolton and his fleet of 9 cars assigned to him personally. Vernon has proven he has no business in law enforcement in any capacity.

Anonymous said...

Ok May be I'm missing your point. I will ask you this has Vernon been convicted of any criminal wrong doing?? This is a yes or no question.

Anonymous said...

Just because he wasn't convicted proves nothing. Bolton was never convicted of anything, but he was a disaster. Casey Anthony was never convicted of anything. Would you let her baby sit your kids? George Zimmerman was never convicted of anything, would he make a good running mate for Vernon??

Anonymous said...

Been seeing a slew of Vernon Jones campaign signs and the majority are on public right-of-ways. Jeff Mann's are showing up and are placed in private yards. Vernon must have forgot to tell his crew to stay legal. Oh well, doesn't surprise me one bit.

Anonymous said...

"No convictions, so clearly he's qualified to be Sheriff."

That's some stupid logic!

Anonymous said...

Vernon as Sheriff.... brings to mind the old saying..

"Where there's SMOKE...there's FIRE."

If Vernon does become sheriff, I'm sure the Feds will take a second look and look. He can change his title but, IMHO...he's still the same.... we'll see and hear about the same smoke that came from downtown Decatur.

Vernon Jones Might Become DeKalbs Next Sheriff

I rather enjoyed this one. And it's number four or five on Google's front page of search for him. It's the little victories ...

Code Enforcement has been pulling up the Vernon and others that placed their signs on r.o.w. because no one wanted it in their personal property!

Rec'd Melvin Mitchell's campaign brochure today. "I was featured in an articled titled 'Ordinary People with Extraordinary Jobs.' I drive a pick-up truck. I listen to country music on the radio, and I played football in college. I love my family, my country, and my Lord. I put my life on the line every day to keep people safe. Nothing has ever been handed to me, and I'm not afraid of hard work. I intend to earn your vote for Sheriff and make you proud." :-(

Anonymous said...

A ton of Vermins campaign signs have been picked up by code enforcement for being placed illegally on public right-of-ways. What a serious waste of donated campaign funds. Anyone who donated to his campaign need to be reimbursed.
Vermin must have hired morons to place them who don't understand the law just like he doesn't.

What happens if Vernon Jones is elected sheriff and doesn't pass the POST certification exam?

Anonymous said...

Vernon said he has spent $11,000 on campaign signs. As of yesterday, his financial disclosure forms aren't current. History of late filings dating back to 2008.

Anonymous said...

What Vernon fails to realize is the fact that campaign signs don't get the candidate elected. In his case with his signs plastered everywhere in violation, he is pissing people off, as opposed to gaining support.

Anonymous said...

What if he gets elected and fails POST? ......HE AIN'T GETTING ELECTED.

The sheriff election is relevant to this blog. Sheriffs are the chief law enforcement officers in their respective counties. They are not subservient to county political or legislative authority, deriving their powers from the Georgia Constitution, and the employees who work for the sheriff do so at his sole discretion."
Key words: Chief law enforcement officer.

Vernon Jones should be run out of town. And anyone running against him should remind voters what kind of person he is.

Anonymous said...

I added a steent to rhe Provocateur concerning the Flat Shoals Church. It was purchased wth the intention of creating a neighborhood community arts center. Vernon instead rented it out to a privae Black Family TV Production Company. Their rent - $1 - a year. To add insut to injury, Vernon ORDERED the County Facilities Dept to completely remodel the facility to the TV Channel specs ALL at the expense of taxpayers using county funds. The remodelling ran several thousands of dollars and included new heavy duty A/C units, upgraded security system and repainting the entire huge facility. Talk about a crooked man. Vernon tops the list. Someone needs to investigate this miscarriage of spending county tax payer money on a private company.

Anonymous said...

Nothing ever sticks to "Teflon Jones". Everyone around him has gone to prison but he always comes out unscathed. Either he has a nice reward for those keeping quiet for when they get paroled or he truly is smarter than every investigating agency. Enjoy your new sheriff, he'll be untouchable.

Anonymous said...

Maybe he'll superimpose more photos of him with TPOTUS on his campaign signs. Obviously voters there are dumb enough to believe it.

Anonymous said...

Speaking of TPOTUS, Vernon was an actual circus clown when he held his State of the County addresses. The podium and background wall were decorated to mirror the President of the United States. As he walked to the podium, he had the Presidential "Hail To The Chief" played. If he only knew how stupid he looked and what the disgruntled employees who were forced to attend were saying under their breath. Pray to the good Lord that he gets his ass stomped in this feeble attempt to be "Our Sheriff". What a sad sack that won't go away.

Anonymous said...

I suspect his run for sheriff is simply to afford himself some protection from the storm coming his way. Not unlike how cockroaches scurry to get holed up when light hits them.

Anonymous said...

Speaking of cockroaches, when I look at his photo he reminds me of a cockroach. Hope he gets stomped like one come election day.

red said...

Hey everybody, don't forget that you can be a convicted felon, and still hold a position in the S.O.! Don't believe me? Let's just take a little trip down "memory lane". Sidney Dorsey killed a man at a gas pump involving an "argument",while working for A.P.D.. I can't ever recall seeing him wearing a weapon, while in uniform. Kind of makes you want to go,"hmmmm"?? And,we all know how he and his band of merry miscreants worked out here! I know of at least(2)former police officers, who were hired at S.O.'s,after their release from prison! They can still be employed to work "in the jail",because they are not required to be certified,or wear a weapon. Just a little of the old "skulduggery",some of these less than stellar, elected officials can pull, just because they can! Those (2) sorry son of a bitches;Don and Willy, will be out before long, and if this other sorry son of a bitch is elected,I'm sure they will have a high ranking position for "just keeping their mouth"s shut". I don't care what the survey's say, because that only accounts for a fraction of the intelligent/informed registered voter's in this county. The true "thug life",stupid asses down here will vote for him, because he "represents them". DAMN,IF THAT AIN'T THE SAD TRUTH,HUH?? I think the Fed's should write this entire county off as a total loss, give all the good, hard working employees, and citizens,a high paying job,and turn this "travesty"of a once great county, into a gigantic land fill for the state. NOT HATING,JUST STATING! And the hit's just keep on coming!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Shouldn't have POST decertified those thugs so they can't reenter law enforcement again?

Anonymous said...

Just let ole Vern have it. He can then continue to pillage the tax payers, apply his racist agenda county wide, and make the Rams the official Dekalb NFL Team.

Anonymous said...

Melvin Mitchell accusing Jeff Mann via emails today, of failing to file his contribution forms. He asks if Mann is hiding something? It sure raises the question but Mann is not stupid. If he had undesireable support, wouldn't he just not accept it?

Anonymous said...

At this late stage of the game it doesn't really matter. What does matter is Vermin losing another election and going back to being a recluse where he belongs. Then hopefully he learned his lesson and the only thing he ever runs for again ..........is the county line. :-)

Anonymous said...

Mann filed all of his financial forms and filed them on time, so I do not know what Mitchell is talking about. Also if you look online you can see the forms, when they were filed and what was claimed. If you look at Mitchell's it looks a bit iffy, as it claims he has only spent 10,000 or so in campaign expenditures. With all of his illegally placed signs I find that hard to believe as well.

Anonymous said...

Mitchell should have double checked before that email was sent. I will cast my vote today for our current Sheriff Jeff Mann. He and Tom Brown are honest, never grandstanded for publicity and did a decent job considering the rampant crime in Dekalb and the huge amount of prisoners passing through the jail.

Anonymous said...

Today is primary day. The day Vermin eats 5 lbs. of horseshet.

Anonymous said...

Vermin's website read something like: crooks and poential crooks, you have till midnight on May 20th to get out of town. If he meant it.....he should head the evacuation. Did he really think he was ging to take it in the primary? He is in for another surprise when the scattered votes that went to the other losing candidates swing to Man because they want honest law enforcement & not a Sydney Dorsey style Sheriff.

Anonymous said...

Well none of his "posse" would be able to vote for him since they are all now convicted felons.
