Know that the Dr. has interest in DeKalb. Don't be fooled at all......his interest is in finances. He has scene the tax base and has scene how much Wiz made and the CEO'S. He has interest all right and that is to suck this place dry and move on.

Just look at the retirement. We are so top heavy that we have to pay more and more for those salaries when they retire. We need to get back to the basics, get rid of this top rank heavy department. just think if we had 2 Assist. Chiefs instead of 6 that would be less money we have to put towards the retirement out of our checks.

He has interest all right. Interest in his own wallet getting paid for the sweat off our backs.
Just saying!

So long Ms Piggy Boyer! Bout damn time! 1 down, 6 to go in Decatur! !!! Now put that in your P card pipe and smoke it!

Elaine Boyer has just resigned. http://www.ajc.com/news/news/breaking-news/dekalb-commissioner-boyer-resigns-saying-ive-betra/ng8gX/

Anon 1:41, do you know of any other place in the metro area where one can work plenty of homicide and robberies?
My observation is that its not a bad agency, with dedicated officer's and a few turds..like you.

Well, now the federal hammer has fallen on Elaine Boyer, 1 day after she resigned. Wonder if they can ever get to Vernon?

Wonder if Wiz and other faces with PD will follow suit with Boyer.

Now that ahole Bob Lundstein can go work at that Drag Bar on Buford Hwy. where he bragged in front of county employees that he pushed through their permits and inspections. Then amazingly had VIP seating at opening night party. Constantly pressured departments to cater to developers and not enforce county codes. Boyer, I just hope you are turning evidence on the other six crooks since you were the only one decent enough to admit fault. Next episode of the Stan Watson show may just be from the Federal Pen! Sharon Barnes Sutton, I hope that you toss and turn worrying about what Ms. Boyer is saying to avoid jail time. Lee May, might be a good time to repay that little loan form your failed business that you took from the good taxpayers of DeKalb County. Keep the corruption clean up rolling Federal investigators because the Wiz and Alexander the Great sure weren't gonna investigate any of these crooks. Employees and taxpayers are f**king tired of the criminals stealing from us on a daily basis and laughing all the way to the bank! Well laugh when your getting greased up and wink at Mr. Ellis while your in there.

adios ...But first tell all on the profiteers in district 1 and those using brookhaven, chamblee, doraville and dunwoody to fatten their wallets. Start with that jerk you employed as a chief of staff and finish with the pay to play crowd in your four municipal children.

MR. FBI YOU ARE MISSING 2? YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO LEE MAY, THE STREET IS TALKING, THE TALK IS HE HAD THE TAXPAYERS PAY FOR THE CLEAN- UP OF HIS HOUSE DOING THE 2009 FLOOD, LEE IS NOT CLEAN! HE'S NO BETTER THAN THE REST OF THE DEKALB COUNTY CROOKS! & NEITHER IS THAT DA.KEEP SEEKING YOU WILL FINE!

Cobb votes to enhance PD... make them competitive... take homes, 10 hour shifts, differential pay...

Just heard on the radio that Cobb county is also doing a salary study to help stem the flow of their officers who are also walking out the door.

Wonder if they'll get the same results... has the county considered a FOIA request to save money and just use what they pay for?

Anon 913 , You are a tard !!, lets look at the history here you idiot. 7 chiefs in less then 10 years , horrible pay no raises, more officers have left dkpd in last ten years then any other pd in Georgia, the areas you pd are horrible , the officers are getting locked up more then any other pd in the state. Your govt structure is a disaster, how many ceo's sheriffs, council members have been in indicted are you kidding me ... If you are post cert put your application in where the money is and citizens actually care about jack ass wake up.

I'd like to bring my wife on board as a paid consultant in reference to good policing... where do I submit her invoices?

Anonymous said...

The Board of Commissioners are just a bunch of thieves who have been stealing from us!

No raises in 8 years.
No more sick checks at Christmas.
Promotional pay increases cut in half.
Increased how much we pay for our insurance, reduced county contribution.
Increased pension contributions, reduced county contributions.
Dr. A gets a $8000 a year raise, we get $40 a paycheck bread crumbs tossed to us.

We're all making thousands less than we should be, while the commissioners are stealing money for themselves. I say NO MORE!!!

NO MORE!!!

NO TICKETS UNLESS WE GET A 10% ACROSS THE BOARD RAISE. 10% OR NO TICKETS STARTING TODAY!!!

Heard Traylor finally made Sgt. Congrats to him, despite what others may say he is a good officer, very knowledgable, and a good FTO to show a rook the ropes.

I say you cant change the demographics of a declining tax base.

Move to greener pastures.

Most of us have. Only those to entrenched in the old pension system and the incompetent have stayed.

Anybody with any brains has left in the past 8 years.

Ticket strike won't work. They all know it. Just threaten your part time jobs or reassign you to another shift or precinct, and you all will get whipped back into line. It can work though. Only if everyone participates. Of course you'll have your company men and women, but what are they going to do? Reassign the entire department? You folks are part of the reason that place functions.

Just to be honest, you all have turned into tax collectors. Raising taxes will upset citizens, so what's the next source of revenue? Hmmm...motorists! That place along with all the other thieving municipalities have figured out that motorists are the easiest source of revenue. Just stick some poor shcmuck in a car and tell him/her to go and make money for around $40,000/year. If you don't we'll take away your extra income and put you on another shift. Insurance companies love it too because you guessed it, any moving violation means rate increase. Why do you think insurance companies provide grants to police departments. It's all a racket, and you're in the middle making money for both sides. Think about it in terms of economics. They make millions off of you folks, and you've gotten no increase of ANY kind. That's a nice ROI. You think they don't say this kind of stuff? I just can't see how you all can take these kind of hits when those circus clowns steal - blatantly. Not only from you, but the taxpayers. They tell you that you need to contribute more for benefits, you get no raises, raise the taxes of citizens because of a deficit and there's no money. But, but, but, there is money for them to funnel into personal accounts, spend money go on trips, meals, shopping sprees, you name it. It's just not worth it. The more you risk your life, the less money you make.

Anonymous said...

The ticket strike worked when they tried to furlough us. Actually they were making us work 4 days but only paying us for three and trying to call it a furlough day. We cut back on tickets, the media did stories on it, then they stopped stealing from us. It can work. Let's do this!

August 31st... how's that take home???

Are there still cars parked at old 34's maintenance shop?

Did the county run out of money to paint and outfit cars?....

Take home or pool... we need to replace the high mileage cars that are unsafe to drive.

Anonymous said...

Hey I have an idea about take home cars. Since the County is broke forget the $200.00 graphic job and just put DEKALB POLICE in 6 in. letters (as required by law). Lets see that should cut the cost in half. Just saying get the damn things on the road.

AAhhh you picked up on that....just following our leaders. I will say kudos to you though for picking up on that...wanted to see if anyone would. You get extra sprinkles on your cookies today.

How about they pay the bills for the work done on the ones already out there. I hear they owe vendors quite a sum....

Anonymous said...

So how many new patrol cars were issued this month?... the summer is officially over!

Anonymous said...

People the take home car program is a dangling carrot just to keep you guys/girls hoping for the best. They will dangle it in front of you for as long as they can trying to keep you here. And in the mean time Marta and other agencies continue to get our trained, certified police officers. Cause the morons in charge are only worried about riding out their time and getting their pension.

Since the end of August......

How many officers
got take homes

vs.

How many turned in
their resignation.

Any thought from anyone on pension board about getting County to repay money they owe from early out? Maybe a law suit to get them to meet the required payback or something any thing or are we just going to sit back and listen to the crickets.....?

Anonymous said...

So what is the real story on the PROMISED take home patrol cars.... is there no budget to equip the cars?.....so they sit at the old maintenance shop...... with no budget it made more sense to give them to the command staff who gave their basically new, "old cars" to CID....

Again..... screw the real FIRST responders.

At least start replacing the pool cars!

As I see it, we're sitting around waiting for those with cars to quit.... we'll get cars because everyone else in uniform won't have enough years to be eligible.

Total BS!

You sound like a parasite. A parasite of taxpayers. Not much different than a person on food stamps who doesn't need them or someone on SSI who does yard work on the side.

Nobody owes you a take home car! If you don't like the conditions of employment then quit! You will be replaced.

your type stays and takes it because you will never make it in the private sector. You think you are entitled.Your not.

Another crook gets indicted on Federal charges.
Patrick Jackson just resigned as Manager of Housekeeping Services. He was hardly ever on the job for the last 10 years. Why? He held a full-time job as Director of Building Services for the Georgia World Congress Center. Someone he reported to in Dekalb had to be wise of this situation or he couldn't have been unavailable 99% of his alleged time he was supposed to be
on county time. The more they look the more the snakes in the grass turn up. Good job Feds.

Anon 2:49... a take home car is a form of compensation.... a raise so to speak... they promised me a RAISE in the form of a take home car... $50-100 per month depending on where you live.

I WORK for living and have seen gas, pension contributions and health costs go up more than the 3% we got last month.

If I was a parasite, I'd have EBT cards and subsidized housing... I have a 4 year degree .... work and paid more in federal tax than many make in Dekalb. I just want what is fair and promised.

Also... I'm not excited about driving cars with way over 100,000 miles on them... it is not safe and I want to be there for my family.

Working for a Living said...

PS... I've worked and was successful in the private sector... can you say the same?

Also... if you knew anything about the private sector, you'd know that promising something and not delivering is how you lose good employees and go out of business.

Anonymous said...

Anon 2:49 PM

The take home cars were promised to the officers and now the department has managed to screw that up. If someone was promised something in the private sector by their employer and that employer just screwed up the entire thing I'm sure the employee in the private sector would complain also. It's a fairly simple concept.
Do you work in the private sector and if so, what do you do? If you are going to post such an insulting comment you should be willing to come back and answer questions.

PENSON

Do the retirees EVER hear from our Retiree pension representative? Does anyone besides me feel like a mushroom?

Anonymous said...

I hear our newly elected pension member is it for the promotion...in other words he will not be making any waves, by putting pressure on County to repay what they owe. After all he wants to make Major. I have to admit I am disappointed. You must stand for something sir, or you will fall for anything...Come on Capt. do the right thing stand up for whats right. Get our money back you too are on the retirement program are you not?

Anonymous said...

Anyone confirm did Porter run off another Lt? How many people have quit under her and how does she still have a job?

Corruption still runs deep in DeKalb Gov.

Patrick Jackson, former Housekeeping Services Mngr, indictment for holding two jobs at the same time, I worked side by side with him in Facilities Management since 2001. Everyone in the Dept knew he had a second fulltime job while collecting his DeKalb salary. We just didn't know where. We all hinted about him never being present in any DeKalb buildings to our Director but he didn't seem to care. Why? We needed our jobs so we all kept quiet. One or two of us would go a little further than sitting on our hands but it was always met with retaliatory jabs from our Director. Why? Maybe in the FBI's efforts to clean up this corrupt pit, they will get Patrick to admit who he was taking care of to be allowed to collect his Dekalb salary while working full time for the Ga World Congress Center. Can't wait to see who he takes down with him.
