This blog page was established so DeKalb County Police Officers including their family and friends may have a place to hold discussions, post news and vent without fear of retribution.
The death of the two NYPD officers is tragic. One thing I noticed is the will and ability of the NYPD officers to stick up for themselves after being abused. Officers of all races participated as one unit in blue. We don't have that kind of courage.
Guys I truly hate to say this but this is only the beginning of our fellow brothers and sisters being shot. You heard the perps rant before he pulled the trigger; "For every one of us they kill, we kill two of theirs!!"The writing is on the wall. No matter how you look at it, read it, spell it; it's there and it is going to get worse way before it gets any better. Be safe.
They are able to stand up because they have a backbone i. e. Police Union that does not allow management and politicians to solely run the show.
Dekalb Officers are brave on the street but cowards dealing with their own abuse.
Ced is too busy becoming part of "the presidential task force"! What a joke and as he's giving his interview to channel 2 if you look closely you get a glimpse of his Training Day poster. Way to go Ced you idiot!
Anon 3:41 One of the truest statements ever posted on this site.
The recent incidents over the past several months have not been racially motivated actions by the police. There is no evidence of a "systemic racial problem" between police officers and the public as propagated by CNN, the Mayor of New York, Al Sharpton and our president. What the country is experiencing is simply a crime problem. I hope NOBLE president Alexander keeps this in mind while serving on the task force he was recently appointed to. No more customer service or sensitivity training please! Sad how most of the problems started when police officer started handling criminals as customers.
He shouldn't have to order them!
He'll our command staff treat officers like they are dictators and we must follow some of their stupid orders.Just remember they are appointed , that is the problem.
So Dr. Ced is on the PRESIDENTIAL TASK FORCE. So what? Its nothing more than another name for pedestal stepping idiots looking for face time in the spotlights.Dr Ced, BS,MS, PHD* has nothing than degrees of shit (*bullshit, more shit, Piled high and deep)What ever happened to the Police chief who was in charge of his department? None of these super titles above the "chief" which are meaningless except in the salary dept.
Jim Conroy is nothing more than a puppet on a string, sitting back just like Obrien. All they did and are doing is buying their time hoping to retire on Chiefs pay. What a disgrace and let down.I want a Chief I can follow into battle and so far I don't see them.
Question.... does anyone else still have that book from the "relationship" class we had to take when the command staff tried to cover up a domestic violence incident involving an officer and another officer?... we were supposed to keep it for the second round of classes.... well, get ready for a new set of worthless classes taught by another consultant with political connections.
Officers who violate the rules should be disciplined in some manner depending on the offense. By the same token, lying and making false complaints on officers, and there are many, should be prosecuted by Internal Affairs, or someone other than the victim officer and publicized. Historically this has not been pursued. Time to stick up for yourselves. You are being hit on both sides of your head.
Here is an article in the NY Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/28/nyregion/funeral-for-slain-nypd-officer-rafael-ramos.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=photo-spot-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0
