DeKalb County authorities are investigating the beating of a woman who is the wife of a DeKalb County police officer.
The victim is in critical condition after an assault outside the couple's Lithonia home, according to Channel 2. Police told Channel 2 that the woman was badly beaten and left unconscious, just outside the couple's garage area.
Police said they do not know who assaulted the woman. But they did say the officer and his wife they lived in the home together.
Channel 2 was outside of the emergency room at Grady Memorial Hospital shortly after the woman arrived around 3:30 a.m. Several DeKalb County police officers were at the hospital and officers were posted near the emergency room.
Police told Channel 2 that the victim's husband was there at his wife's bedside. Authorities did not identify the victim nor her husband.

Please update us when the identity becomes known... We are sending all of our prayers and support.
Please update us when you find out her identity. Our thoughts and prayers are with her this morning...
Very sad I pray for the wife's speedy recovery. I hope the find the asshole who did this.
I pray for the officer and his wife. Please post if the family needs anything.
DKPD wife
My prayers and those of my family.
May God send his angels to bring her a speedy recovery, bring peace to our brother's family and swift justice to her attacker.
WSB-TV is now reporting that the assault was not a result of a domestic dispute. (God, let's hope not...) I also read that she's also a mother. So sad for this to happen TODAY of all days. I believe there's a special place in Hell for the person who committed this horrific crime.
Prayers for a speedy recover - God bless you! And to the perp -- 10-12.
You lost me with WSB-TV... you actually watch their garbage. All that tells me is that they weren't ABLE to slant their coverage against the officer. If WSB-TV couldn't slant it against him, he must be clean.
I know this officer and I have met his wife. Im praying that she pulls through this and that whoever is responsible gets whats coming!!!
"Vengeance is mine" sayeth the LORD.. GOD bless her.
i do think it is sad that this happened to the woman and i do pray for her....its sad if it happens to any woman, but since it happened to a cops wife now they all want to do something about it. what about all the things that happen to people everyday that yall (DCPD) do absolutly nothing about???

Do you have any fucking idea how many people the DKPD puts in jail every week? Why don’t you give us your best estimate? You seem to be so informed I will be waiting for your answer.
