Chief Ramos has demoted Assistant Chief R.C. Hughes to the rank of Captain and assigned him to CID. Assistant Chief Hughes is well-liked among all the officers and supervisors in the department.

Chief Hughes stood up to Ramos for being unprofessional and she did not like it, so she demoted him.
Ramos demanded him to come to her office even though he was at a family member's funeral, so she could chastise him over a decision he had made. Hughes stood up to her and told her she was in the wrong and she sent him home then demoted him.
Ramos was way out of line and called out for being unprofessional, she retaliated by demoting him.
Well she can promote Captain Albritton to his position and watch a mass retirements and resignations coming forward……

Chief Hughes is a great man. He has always treated people with respect. Ramos and a few other female supervisors, in this department shouldn’t be in leadership positions. They will do whatever they can, to make a persons career with Dkpd the absolute worst. I know of one officer, who was contemplating suicide her immediate supervisor and chain of command treated her so badly she has no choice but to resign. There is no complaining to the chief of Police, because she’s the same way. Officers in this department are leaving in masses, because of leadership. Mr. CEO Thurmond, you should be ashamed of yourself, you overlook this treatment and allow this Department to become a joke. For those who feel as though you have no other option. YOU DO! Know the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. At least be a part of Department where you are actually appreciated. Your life and your well being matters.
Chief Ramos is the rudest dumbest piece of shit chief this department has ever had. I wish the media would dig into her the way they dug into Bolton and Graham because she's worse than they ever were. She treats everyone like garbage and we're all sick of it. She's a cancer that needs to be removed! Thurmond, fire her!
Yo, did they really transfer Campbell out of Narcotics because he said he was Heimer in a training class? How does that make any sense? Dictator Mirtha ruling by fear and intimidation. Anyone who has 3+ years here needs to get out ASAP. This Department is run by idiots!!!
