Today the Board of Commissioners vote whether to continue with Bolton's kingdom building by approving a wasteful Assistant Chief position for Animal Control, or they will demonstrate they plan to bring His Majesty under control.
If the waste of tax dollars continues, then we ask: Who will be Chief Dog Catcher?
Of course this has to be followed up by: Who will be demoted to make room for the new Chief Dog Catcher?

I just updated the latest news on this - it's really strange...
This is from the Dekalb Officers blog regarding items on the August 26, 2008 Board of Commission Agenda:
"E5. Reclassification of Deputy Director of Animal Services to an Assistant Police Chief.
As we all know, when Bolton introduced the newly appointed Major Kathy Mooneyham with her assignment to Animal Control, he said his final decision was based on her smile. What physical feature is he basing this latest promotional recommendation on? And why does Animal Control need an Assistant Chief of Police?"
I don't understand - the article above points out that the Animal Control Director, Beth Vesco was fired almost exactly a year ago. Then the article above says, "Police Chief Terrell Bolton, who took office in January, did not make the decision to hire Vesco, Williams said, adding that the decision had already been made. “We are conducting a nationwide search, advertising in animal magazines to get the best director for the county.” In the meantime Police Lt Kathy Mooneyham is running the animal control service."
So - did Bolton perform a nationwide search only to appoint the person who had been temporarily in charge by Bolton in the first place? Did he really do this based on her smile? When you Google Kathy Mooneyham, there is a hit from Dallas. Is that relevant? Why does Bolton now want to elevate this position to Assistant Police Chief??
FYI Major Mooneyham is not from Dallas. Apparently its a different Kathy Mooneyham.
