Ghost of Dallas is here in DeKalb

Just as in Dallas, Bolton once again is facing a serious problem. Instead of his Narcotics Squad sitting up and prosecuting Hispanics with fake cocaine (DALLAS AT THE TIPPING POINT), now it’s his Vice Squad. Vice Detective Anthony Robinson is caught on video pocketing cash and lottery tickets. He has been arrested and is being held on $20,000.00 dollar bond.

The question is; how long has this been going on and how many people are involved? It would not be surprising to find more than one vice detective involved. Nor would it be surprising to find Bolton trying to cover up how deep this may run.

Problem is, when people are faced with a lengthy prison term, especially police officers, they tend to talk. If this is the case, will Major Craddock continue to kiss the ring of Bolton and become tangled in the web, or will he do what is right? Is the rank of Major and being loyal to a loser such a Bolton more important than honor, duty, family?

Gwen Keyes Fleming, the county District Attorney should call for a special investigation by the G.B.I. and/or the F.B.I. Until the matter is fully investigated, every vice detective should be reassigned until cleared. One bad apple does spoil the bunch.

Stand back and watch Bolton deny any investigation is needed. If the D.A. requests an investigation, watch Bolton obstruct it. Just as in Dallas.

The Madness Continues

It is bad when this happens but don't accuse everyone. If you knew him you would be shock that he committed this crime. Sometimes people make a mistake , no excuse. He will be punished.

Besides the obvious, the first thing that struck me was the fact that the detective/scumbag was wearing a blue tooth device while in uniform conducting a raid.

Don't tell me he's got so many calls he needs to keep his blue tooth on while conducting police business. Not that they'd have him, but is he a sales rep for Mary Kay on the side? Is he waiting for a hot call from his Broker?

Little stuff leads to big stuff.

I can't believe the number of officers who are focused on how they look and the bling instead of being professionals.

The image one projects is half the battle!

The blue tooth devices gives me the impression that they aren't worried about policing, they are worried about looking cool and taking care of their personal business while on duty.

I had a Sargeant who always ran around with one...he appeared to constantly NOT be listening closely to his radio....blindly clearing on calls without assigning a back up....ie....a domestic with both parties on scene and fellow officers not assigned calls.

(To my fellow officers credit, they were already enroute. They didn't need to be assigned to back me up. They didn't say they were enroute because they wanted to see if the Sgt. even noticed that he had an officer enroute to an inherently dangerous call without assigned backup.)

When I met with him to have reports checked, you were never sure if he was talking to you or someone on his bluetooth. Many times you waited for the Sgt. to finish whatever call he was on before he even acknowledged that you had pulled up next to him.

No wonder the citizens complain and the perps don't fear or respect us.

Little stuff leads to big stuff.

I don't believe anyone beside Robinson is being accused. When something like this happens in an undercover unit, the public and the department need to be re-assured it is an isolated event.

Vice as Narcotics takes self discipline because of the nature of the business, close, direct supervision is not possible. Sometimes officers bend to the life style. The public and the department need to be reassured this is an isolated incident. Let’s pray that it is. If it is not, then it needs to be handled now.

Every department has its bad apples and they eventually, it manifests in many forms. I know one thing, it better not happen around me, because I squeal!!!!

I think it was very unfair to make blanket statements about the entire vice unit and you lost a lot of credibility with your baseless accusations. Did you see or hear anything that indicated others were involved? Did you notice on the tape that Robinson waited until the other detective wasn't looking to start stealing? That's what the FBI calls "A Clue!"

Shocked that this happened. Known him for a while and just can't my mind around it. Just couldn't imagine what he was thinking. Everybody makes mistakes, He will pay dearly now and over & over again in his future. Lets just remember: every man is better than and worth more than his worst act.

does anyone really think those bluetooth devices make you look cool?

That vice officer was a worthless pos. He has tarnished not only himself and DCPD but every LEO that wears a badge. I wish him nothing but pain and anguish for the rest of his life. Good riddance from a fellow LEO.......THUG.
