What really is the purpose of the DeKalb Police Alliance? Part II

The DeKalb Police Alliance has registered with the Secretary of State for 2008. (March 5, 2008)

It appears Ms. Blackshear, Vernon's Deputy Chief of Staff is no longer affiliated with the alliance. Paula Zucker and Liane Levatan are listed as C.E.O.'s.

We are still searching for itemized expense records for 2007 and 2008. We believe over hundred thousand dollars in expenses for one year is quit a bit.

Well I'm not an expert on life insurance but know a little about how group life works. Generally a company pays so much per $1000 worth of coverage. Obviously the higher the risk of occupation the more the premium is. So lets assume the policy is .10 cents for every $1000.00, and that there is 1000 sworn officers then your formula is .10 x 100 x 1000 x 12 = $120,000.00 a year. If you want a real world example you can look at the military SGLI which for the basic $100k policy, cost to the servicemember is $7.00 a month.

So 100k a year in expenses just for insurance isn't real hard to achieve.
