Bolton Fires Back!
Here is an article from The Champion Newspaper. The article is pretty weak and doesn't go in depth how Bolton "fires" back. The paper did scream at the reader "Bolton is merit protected, and cannot be replaced unless he is released for cause".
Only time will tell. But Ellis had better do something fast. Every day that goes by with Bolton and his regime in power, morale slips even further and further down.

What a poorly written article. Is this a college newspaper or an actual real city newspaper? This type of jorunalism is exactly why circulation for printed papers is in the toilet. This article told us nothing new. The reporter didn't bother to even speak with anyone at the department in regards to the report or community leaders or anyone. This looks like Aileen Harris style PR reporting (can't offend my buddies in Dekalb government).
45 page report?! Does it take that many pages to justify his job and strike fear in the taxpayers? Wow, what a waste of words. Thanks to all the officers who report to work each day to protect us, despite not respecting your leadership. Don't go anywhere...you are the leaders of tomorrow! A DeKalb Citizen
WoW. All the Command Staff in that picture look so excited and enthusiastic. I am surprised Major Williams isnt bossing the photographer around. Major Higdon looks like a kid with Autism. And lets see, who is that behind Bolton, Chief Anderson?, I think she is looking at his butt.
It appears to me that Chief Bolton is getting the best of CEO Ellis. He recently said that he is Chief Bolton’s boss but it certainly doesn’t look that way to me. If anything it looks like the CEO works for Bolton. I realize that CEO Ellis does not want to be another Vernon Jones and I respect that. However, Bolton continues to be extremely insubordinate and disrespectful toward the new CEO and so far with no consequences whatsoever. This disrespect has played out in a very public forum as shown by this article and other incidents. Bolton is clearly an arrogant, self centered and dishonest guy who will not serve this county well going forward. Mr. Ellis, if you are afraid of Chief Bolton then I suggest that you hire someone who is not and let them deal with him.
Hey Higdon, Nice sideburns!! Might want to look at the rules and regs on that. You should know them, since you screw everyone with them.
