Can you hear me now?

Each of the 50 ICP officers and 5 sergeants have cellphones issued by the county. Each person in the Bolton created V.I.P. program have county issued cellphones.

But yet the poor ole Armed Robbery Detective or the sucker Homicide Detective standing over a dead body has to utilized his/her personal paid out of their pocket cellphone.

What the hell?

Hell alot of our Detectives don't even have take home cars. Some are driving impound lot rejects that don't even have emergency lights. How many times have the "VIPs" and ICP stormtroopers been called in from their home? Compared to how often we call our detectives in from home.

Robbery - Homicide detectives should be treated the best of all in the PD as far as I'm concerned. I am not in that unit now but I know historically what they go through. DKPD NEVER treated Major Crimes the way that other big departments treat their Major Crimes units. They are not just another detective or officer. Only the creame of the crop should even get into that unit. For the most part, that's how it wan a long time ago...maybe now too but I'm not sure. Every detective in that unit should have a take home car and cell phones assigned. Anything less is complete disrespect for those who are actually asked to do the most and infact put up with the most stress and other crap. DKPD leadership should act like big PD leadership and treat the cream of the crop with respect. It always seemed to me that the "hang around the fort" Indians get all the gravy jobs and perks instead of the warriors. The real warriors should get the big feather instead of the big you know what! Put that in your peace pipe and smoke it ! UNIONIZE !

How many CID Impala's can you buy with the proceded generated by auctioning off a Range Rover?

Answer - None, in addition to his other vehicles, the chief had it assigned to him.

the real warriors are the guys and gals in uniform. They are on the front lines everyday in thick of things. No disrespect to our great detectives, but remember they come after the fact once things have been calmed down. The guys on CID do get take home cars of is just going to take a few to redistribute them since we got new impalas. So be patient nothing in this department gets done overnight.

Well, there are a lot of things that what, 1.5 million dollars could have been used for instead of broken-down comfort-laden RVs. Call them what you want Terrell, but they are still what they are....kind like.... you can put on perfume and smile all you want, but you still wreak of @#$%.

I wrote the Robbery - Homicide comment and yes the uniformed division is the front line of the war and more dangerous than working in any detective unit. I didn't mean to minimize the uniformed division. I have years there too as a grunt and a supervisor but there maybe things about Major Crimes you are not familiar with. Working there is a B**** without a doubt and it's hard to get people to make the Major Crimes commitment. Working Major Crimes should be something every police officer should aspire to achieve and those that do should be treated right and with respect. At least give them all take home cars and cell phones. That may be an incentive to get more people to work there. Those that only want to be motor officers aides or stat people are not real cops as far as I'm concerned and should not be rewarded as is warranted by those who do actual tough police work.I wish I could be chief for a year. Heads would roll. Hang around the fort cops would not get all the perks as they do now as in take home cars, all weekends and holidays off. Come on get with it leadership. If leadership never did the tough jobs they won't have any respect for how tough it really is. That maybe the case. Maybe. Thanks.
