We understand Major Ramey is on FMLA. We do hope she gets better soon. It must be hell jumping from a Lieutenant driving Vernon around to a Major within the Criminal Investigation Division, with absolutely no detective experience.
Could she be suffering from exposure?

Well she is a nice person, but as a supervisor we do not want to ask that question.
Maybe she is diabetic as well, cause we know when your blood sugar is to high you cant make a decision.
Just damn thats been the problem her entire employment.

More people are taking medical leave in DKPD. Maybe Ramey is scared that she is going to get questioned and god forbid, come clean on what she knows. Is this something that needs to get investigated??
I bet her "exquisite" detective skills are "detecting" she may be demoted soon. Thats hard on someone. She is probably being moved to spot more conducive to her skill set. Head of motor maintenance?

When will Ben Gaither be delt with?
1. Ben has a 2009 Crown Vic (take-home of course) with very dark tint windows.
2. His title is Director of Pastoral Services.
3. He has a civilian aide
4. He wears a command staff uniform without rank insignia.
5. He was fired in 1986 for cheating in our academy.
6. Vernon Jones brought him from the Sheriff's dept and put him in Internal Affairs.
7. He was issued his original badge that was taken when he was fired.
Somethong must be done with this character.....move him to the road....331 Evening sounds good.

Yes, Gaither was FIRED when he was in the police academy for CHEATING on exams. He later got a job with the Sheriff's Department.
I just wish someone would investigate why he left S.O., then got a job with P.D. (I hear Vernon forced Moody to hire him), worked at South Precinct for about two weeks, then ended up in Internal Affairs.
(OK, I know why, but I'm not going to spill the beans. Maybe CBS46 could investigate his fir...resignation from S.O. to make up for their pathetic "year too late" story about Keisha)

Yes, someone please investigate the SO!! It's like fish over there, it rots from the head down. Unfortounately the citizens have been snowed by To Brow! Nice start with the PD but let's keep the momentum. My fear is that investigations won't happen because of the relationship between Sheriff and CEO.

I work for a very large company. My division has a couple thousand people. I've been with this company for about seven years.
During that time, other than pregnancy, there have been a very small number of people who have taken FMLA leave.
In my position, I know about just about everyone who might have taken that leave. We had two people who themselves had MAJOR medical issues (cancer and something else as big) and a woman who took three months off after her husband was killed in a traffic accident. Her kids were going through some issues she needed to deal with full time.
Three in seven years. How is it that DeKalb PD, a much, much smaller organization, can have at least that many in two weeks?
FMLA was a law created to address a specific situation. It was not created to give those about to be fired or demoted a way to hang in a couple extra weeks. Those using FMLA that way should be required to serve jail time and pay fines to victim support groups. The way it is now, why not try some bogus medical excuse to claim FMLA. Either you win or you are no worse than you were without the claim. For those who passed this law, it was unimaginable that people with low character would use the law as a shield to keep from getting fired. Since we now see that among people of a certain very low moral fiber, this has become a "go-to" defense, the legistlature should pass punishment for those who abuse FMLA.
It is all about politics, Gaither has a big following(voters)at his church so he always lands on is feet. Vernon Jones and Eddie Moody brought him back here and he has been taken care of ever since.
Maybe Ramey has such a broken heart over her "Boyz" being out of oriface and fired that she started going through "them changes" and fell out??? A potential trip to a grand jury or prison can make someone's health take a turn.
Gaither had a COUNTY car???? That is flat out abusive. Does anyone in this county say "No thank you, that is a frivolous use of the taxpayer's dollars."

If you're reading this please do a public records check on this Gaither guy. If these claims are true, he needs to be exposed via the media and show us citizens just how things have been operating in the department where people are supposed to be of high morale character. They need to be a cut above, not a cut below. The free rides are over!!!
Ben Gaither was hired by Sidney Dorsey as a Sgt. in SO. That should answer any questions. Yes, he was assigned to Internal Affairs. For those of you may have forgotten, Dorsey is in prison for the murder on Sheriff-Elect Derwin Brown. Gaither was ran off ny Sheriff Thomas Brown and Vern forced Chief Moody to hire. Don't blame Sheriff Brown for our problems. Graham decided to keep also because of vern. Yes he has lots of voters at his church and that's why he's taken care of. Enough said!
Tebo going on FMLA was a tactical move. Nothing more. He might have diabetes, but certainly it was a move meant to help him in a court of law. If a citizen can see that, I'm sure a judge will see right through it too.

Gather chewed me out on a traffic scene one day....he is nothing but what the dog left behind...I was 2 steps ahead of him and he was screaming and threatining to call the CEO & the chief of police because of the situation at hand(which at the time was Pearson). The situation showed his ignorance as a police officer let alone of someone that wears the cloth of religion. When the plug gets pulled, he needs to go down the tube like the rest. After I did very little digging I found out he is nothing but perp like the rest.
Has anyone else noticed that when a story about Ramey emerges, it seems to get more responses than anyother.
She must really be disliked, poor girl.
