Vernon must be hiding under a rock in Athens, Greece like he was when the county attorney inexplicably committed suicide whilst Vernon was on a "friendship and marketing" junket during the Athens Olympics. That alone was worthy of a grand jury that Gwyn Keyes over sees. Too many people have been covering for Vernon for too long and we see the results in the inefficiencies in the departments that Vern has reorganized such as purchasing under Verns reforms, the price of many service contracts has doubled as vendors negotiate favorable contracts that result in ridiculously inflated prices that either results in the work not being done due to cost, or the vendor taking the tax payer to the cleaners. Yes, I know its important for government to support minority small business, but when a few take advantage of the contracts and quadripal the cost, it is time for a grand-jury or auditors to step in and clean things up. DA Keyes has not done the county any favors by suppressing Grand juries that used to be a normal course of business within the county. PS. Where is Vern and why is he so quite on the Bolton issue? Perhaps Vern knows somethings that we don't and has decided silence is his best tactic.
Bolton makes the comment that he flew back early from Washington to attend someone's meeting. Is he ever in the city that pays him to be police chief? Was it "comp time"?
He is using the same excuses now as he did then. He says that he even came to a meeting when he was sick. He also says he came in to work on a holiday to catch some thugs that were terrorizing the city of Dallas . HELLO...aren't you the "CHIEF". Are u to good work do police work on a holiday. That is what real POLICE do. I bet you wanted comp time for your inconvenience. And then you come to Dekalb and pull the same stunts. I remember when you fired Officer Ford for having an expired tag. Didn't your magic bus have an expired tag when it was parked at Stone Mountain. Wasn't a Officer fired from Tucker fired for taking home a county vehicle. How many vehicles did you take to Dallas. I could go on for days with the comparisons. I'm not excusing any of those officers behavior...but right is right and wrong is wrong. And Tebo you were wrong be a man and accept your punishment.
