I'm glad to see that Dunwoody has spotlights on their police cars. DeKalb PD cars don't have movable spotlights which completely works against the Officer. When is the last time that you have seen a police car other than DeKalb PD that didn't have a spotlight on the drivers door. How ridiculous. That just shows you that Officer safety is not a big concern for DKPD. They are more concerned with the resale value of their cars. The perps ride around in Crown Vic's with spotlights but DeKalb Officers don't have them. How backwards is that? DeKalb Officers have to hang their flashlights out of the window to read address numbers or search for suspects. What a joke! Next time you see a DeKalb Officer ask to see the flashlight that the department issues them. It's basically a dollar store flashlight with some "no name" batteries in it. HAAHAHAAHA

I feel kind if sad that we lost Dunwoody. It didn't have to be that way. Thanks again Mr. CEO. You sure left your mark on Dekalb County.
Vernon Jones did more to push the incorporation of Dunwoody than anyone. He took an area with a relatively affluent and educated population and tried to do to it what he did to almost every facet of DeKalb County government. Vernon took a disproportionate share of Dunwoody tax dollars and then turned around and stuck the finger in the eye. And thought that intelligent folks were just going to take it or leave. I guess since he had always "thugged" folks into submission, he thought that Dunwoody would be no different. Something called principles and morals, Vern.
People in Dunwoody never had a problem with the street-level police in DKPD. What they did take offense to was funding all of the other crap and seeing no return for the tax revenues.
So thank you Vernon Jones, not one of the founding fathers of Dunwoody, but certainly the catalyst and motivator.
