Bolton's Termination Hearing Has Been Delayed Upon His Request Once Again

Outstanding. It seems Bolton is toying with the department, the citizens, and Burrell Ellis.

Good, the hearing was set for the same day as our Police Memorial service at Decatur Square, and nothing should take away from that.

What are the details of the police memorial service? Is it open to the public?

just wondering, would it be helpfull to officers if there was a volunteer unit that would respond if requested to incidents with extended on scene times with snacks and refreshments? my group has considered this?

So what's up with the comments getting removed? What was said that was so bad it warranted removal?

Scott,

That would be a really great thing, given how long some incidents can last. How you would go about making this happen I am not sure - though maybe other "posters" could make suggestions.

But what I really want to say, and I think I can speak for alot of officers, is thank you for your care, concern and kind offer. Whenever I have a bad day and wonder why I am still doing this job, I realize why from a citizen such as yourself. Sometimes I think it is easy to forget how many citizens are like you, supporting us and wanting to help in whatever way you can. Actually, "you made my day" in a good way and I for one appreciate it.

It should be quite easy, lots of FD supporting groups do it up north all the time. You guys, as paid officers cant ask WalMart for a donation of Gatoraid, but I can. Lots of groups out there support Vol. FD's im thinking there are lots of business owners that would support what the police do. The FD usually has several coolers and snacks on the Air trucks, you guys dont have that!

Police Memorial is on Wednesday May 6, 2009 at 11:00 am at the old courthouse square. Anyone and everyone is invited and we encourage all officers and civilians to attend. We must never forget these officers or their families.

Last night a glitch cause posts subject to be deleted by anyone who went to the site. I saw it and was curious too with the delete icon at the bottom of each comment.

The DeKalb Police Memorial is on next Wed. May 6 at the old Decatur Courthouse, in the rear, in Decatur Square, at 11:00am. Please come; officers who died in the line of duty are honored, and their surviving family members are there also. It is moving and sobering to realize that so many officers gave their lives defending Dekalb's citizens.

So that's why Bolton canceled his hearing! He can't be anywhere near a police memorial, not even one honoring his own officers, unless he's getting paid to be there!q

Is the memorial rain or shine?

If the weather is bad, it will be moved to the Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Drive at 11:00am.

I'm confused.......regarding the comments...."have a unit(s) respond to incidents with extended on scene times with snacks and refreshments"? I thought Bolton had at least six of these mobile precincts used for just that purpose....anyone else tell me what they were used for while under Bolton's supervision.....besides... RR&R - Rest, Relaxation and Ripping off Taxpayers (for Bolton's right-hand men who were given special privileges to access them)
