I read the report and I have to say both Bolton and Keisha are pigs. Both of you guys disgust me.

For the record, I have nothing against on some of our command staff. You cannot blame them for jumping to an opportunity of a life time to further their careers. Who can blame them? I sure don't. In fact, many of us believed in Bolton in the beginning; as I am sure they did too. I know I did. However, that all changed when I started seeing what was taking place and what I had to endure in my career.

This blog has done wonders in informing the public about what was going on. I thank the person for creating this site. However, I have also seen its misuses in insulting or belittling other employees (except for Keisha and Terrell that is ok. They did it to themselves). Hell, some of it has been about me or the division I am in. We should try to keep this blog about change and what is best for us.

Many people have posted negative things about Chief Harrel, Chief Helms and Chief Rancifer. I for one respect each of them. I have never worked for Chief Rancifer, but he has dedicated his life to this department. If you look at his division, you do not see a high turn over rate in special ops. Many of his people have told me that he will back you up. Yes, he expects a lot out of his guys and Why not. If he is willing to back me up when the going gets tough, then I for one will back the guy up too. In regards to other staff members, I do not know too much about them to make an opinion and others I will not state an opinion because of General Orders.

Some people think I am brave and others think I am crazy or stupid for putting my name behind my opinions. Hell, some say that Bolton loyalists will go after me. Yes, I have family to look after, but I also believe in justice and equality. I truly feel the days of being mistreated and careers hindered are over for now, especially with Ellis as our CEO.

In closing, I feel our department is heading towards the right direction with Chief O’ Brien as acting chief. I thank CEO Ellis for the change and hope we can move forward to make this place it once was under Chief Moody.

The next few months will be interesting to see what changes will take place. Lets move on and continue to watch out for each other out there. Be SAFE.

The Bolton and Keisha part of the report is an interesting read, but nothing is suprising and/or earth shattering.

Observations:

1) Bolton was and is much more devious than I imagined.

2) Too many other higher ups seem to be all too willing to go along with Bolton's game....their stories and roles should be further examined and expanded upon. Frank, Rancifer, Helms etc... My impression is that they know more and did more than they are admitting to.

3) The boat is still on Rancifer. I'm not sure what to make of what he told the investigators.

4) There seemed to be a lot of people who ran interference and obstructed CEO Ellis and his representatives.

5) Since Federal rules were knowing ignored and broken, has or will any of this be turned over to the Feds?

Conclusion -

Time to clean house! Bolton has been removed. Now its time to start retiring, reassigning, or firing the rest.

Start with Frank,Helms, Ms. Boyd, Jonathan Jefferies, Tip Green and the unnamed "street officer" that called him he should be careful with the cars.

it seems that slot of people knew that he was up to some shady stuff but no one wanted to step up and blow the whistle. Some could say you all are just as responsible for blindly following his direction.

From the Investigative Report - "street officer" that called to tell him that he should be careful with the cars.

Who is this ethically challenged, misfit that calls him or herself a law enforcement officer?

To what specialized "made" group does he or she belong?

I read it and WOW ! Unbelieveable circus and soap opera. Sounds like Tip Green doesn't have much of an ass left after being chewed out so many times. I see evidence of several very weak people in the command staff.

PatsQB said...

All this needs is some missing drugs, stolen money, and grenades and we could have new episodes of "The Shield".

I like how no one felt they were in Bolton's inner circle. From the outside looking in it appeared they all were.

What a hot mess!

If these two come back to this department in any way, shape, or form, I will then know that all hope is lost. I will quit and find new employment......s

To try to blame Tip for anything is ludicrous, but to exonerate the command staff is also ludicrous. People without spines should not be in the positions of leadership. If not prosecuted for malfeasance they should at least be forced to resign they have been either accomplices to Chief Bolton's apparent thefts, malfeasance and misfeasance or silent witnesses.

Hey Toledo much praise for putting your name out there....But until you have worked for Rancifer and been one of his victims don't use this blog to give him any type of acknowledgement. Those in Special Ops are there for other reasons we just tolerate him and his stupid, incompetent ass, trust me it is not for the reasons you listed.

This is eerilly similar to the Presidential Hotel fiasco in the early 1990's. Different names, same kind of crap....

Rancifer walked around like a peacock boasting to all about how tight he was with Tebo. Now, all of a sudden no one was in Tebo's inner circle. Damn Liars! Someone had to be in his inner circle. Rancifer runs Special Ops the same way Tebo ran the department - by intimidation and threats. His famous quote, 'pick a precinct' if you dont like it. Rancifer said he didnt agree with some of the reassignments and transfers. Bullshit! How many people has he kicked out of Special Ops for no reason? He is clearly simply trying to save his own ass right now. Im sure CEO Ellis can see right through this guy.

The command staff is throwing each other under the magic bus...who was in the "Inner Circle?"

Hey Tip I like you dude but its time for you to go....You had several ways to stop or at least get someone the right someones attention if that failed you are not TOO GOOD for uniform. You made your bed now you will lay in it. Hate to see ya fall like this.

What a DISGACEFUL mess the entire command staff has become. SHAME on every single one of you! ALL of you kissed Bolton’s ass and covered your own ass while the entire police department suffered. Now that Bolton is out, you are all trying to turn on him and act like you had nothing to do with the despicable conduct that has gone on for the last few years. ALL of the command staff needs to be demoted or fired. Not some of them and not the majority of them. Every damn one of them shares in the blame and they should be held accountable!

I have more respect for members of the MAFIA than I do the DeKalb Police Command Staff (with the exception of O’Brien). At least I know where they stand and they don’t pretend to be anything but gangsters!

How can the grunts follow this kind of example? Weak questionable leadership for sure. This is still a pretty good PD though .......except for the leadership. I see reasons to flush the toilet from the top down to Major in some instances. The grunts....POI to Capt and some Majors need to hold tight and wait for the big flush. Which better come quick before we loose more good officers to pure embarresment.

Yea, The Presidential Hotel episode. I forgot about that generation of crooks. They were all the higher up's too. Looks like the
only ones you can count on are line level uniform and CID and how bad has the PD gotten to have to be investigated by the S.O. ? Geeeeezzz !

Everyone named in the report should be fired! When will people wake up and realize our department is corrupt! The same people Bolton put into place, from Major on up are still in power. After they are fired, they should be prosecuted! The ones not mentioned, what are they involved in? This placed needs cleaned out. Everyone from Major on up so go!

I can only imagine how frustrated sworn officers were to have this 28yr old civilian order you around. Tebow is without a doubt one ignorant sob. No Chief with any integrity would have made the decisions that moron has made since being named Chief by an even bigger idiot, Vernon Jones. Did Keisha ever carry a gun? Why would a civilian have a uniform, badge and a fully loaded police car? She is in violation of state law if she runs that unit's emergency equipment by GOD. Thats impersonating a police officer. We sit here in Gwinnett and shake our heads and LOL but feel sorry for the officers who weren't in Tebo's "circle" and still had to deal with this BS. Did Tebo really make everyone come to attention everytime he entered the room? That dude has some serious power issues!! VJ and Tebo have tarnished the once proud DCPD tradition and made it a damn joke. I feel for my Dekalb brothers. Good luck with finding a Chief with integrity. I think Ellis is on the right track and is genuinely trying to help repair DCPD. If he doesn't, Gwinnett is hiring and they will give you a take home car. Best of luck to you all.

P.S. I hope VJ, Tebo and Margarita starve to death for all I GAD.

Bolton can't even keep his lies straight!

First, the seized luxury vehicles were taken by him because he said "another agency" was going to try to take them. That agency turned out to be the DeKalb DA's office and they didn't want the vehicles! Now, he is claiming the vehicles were taken by him because they weren't being used for drug deals. Oh, and when he said another agency wanted the vehicles, THAT was why he was hiding the vehicles at his house, to prevent them from being taken by "another agency." But now, that's not the reason they were taken and he wasn't hiding them!

In Tip Greene defense, when you report to Tebo or Keisha (who ruled by intimidation), who do you suppose he give this information to? VJ? no Ann Kimbrough? Rancifer? When you report to these people you have no one to talk to about the inner workings that went on on the 4th Floor. If you did talk to anyone and thought you could trust them they went back and told Tebo and you were dealt with accordingly (ask Verbie, Deputy Chief Burroughs, etc)... to all the Deputy Cheifs who said they were not in his inner circle... Helms, Franks, and Anderson GET REAL! you bunch of cowards you were to uphold the law and if you observed anything you should have brought it to someone attention....but whom?? the media??? of course not, don't forget Keisha and Mekka (another cilvian supervisor)..stopped alot of news from being aired.. I wouldn't be surprised if the Department of Justice put DeKalb Police on a Consent Decree or MOA.

Anonymous said...

Nobody to notify without retailation.............Get Real all they had to do was contact GBI, FBI DA's office wear a tape recorder and get the evidence. None of them including Tip Green has any leg to stand on, they assisted in violating county SOP and law.....So screw them all....This is why no one trust the police anymore.

The news stated that the vehicles were being hidden at a Dep Chiefs house or Asst Chiefs house in Walton county. Whose house was that???

Anonymous said...

It was Don Franks' house. The same in charge of Homeland Security. Wonder what kind of abuses went on in that unit?

Anonymous said...

The same Don Frank who was ILLEGALLY running people on NCIC a few years ago?? Instead of being FIRED, like other people were around that time, he was quickly promoted all the way from Sgt to Assistant Chief in a couple of years.
