Gwinnett Deputy Dies In Motorcycle Accident On Way Home From Work

Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputy Bill Edge was killed in a motorcycle accident in Barrow County on Monday evening, according to a spokeswoman with the department.

Stacey Bourbonnais said Edge, 56, had worked with the Sheriff’s office four years. The accident occurred at about 6 p.m. as Edge was heading home from his shift, she said.

As an officer who survived a serious motorcycle accident, my heart goes out to Deputy Edge's family, friends and co-workers.

There but for the Grace of God, his story is mine. I'm a poster child for the power of prayer.

May he rest in peace.

My prayers to family and friends and the soul of this fallen officer. I have lost a close friend to motorcycles and try to remain vigilent around them especialy the rice rockets because they can be so frakken upredictable.
