Been there...done that said...

Nice idea, but they'll have me show up for a day or two then hire a special ops or ICP officer who has a take home car that can be parked out front or used for the job.

Well I hope that will end real soon. Why do they get free gas and car to come to work.

Interesting but what is going on with the missing millions from Dekalb County Recorders Court. Is this another incident being swept under the rug?

What ever happened to the guy who was running things at Recorders Court when all this went down.....wasn't he transferred to PD? Is he still with Dekalb?

Yes, He is the President of the Dekalb Bar.........why Dekalb still exists is unknown.

OT, but I know y'all will be interested, the AJC has a story about DeKalb's ex-CEO Jones possibly running for state governor "The other e-mail was from his communications director, Camille Kesler. A communications director implies a campaign of some sort. Quoth Kesler:

Vernon Jones has been getting a lot of email from you about running for Governor. I agree with you, Vernon would make a great Governor.

You recently heard from him reiterating his passion for Georgia, especially regarding addressing critical issues like transportation, education, air and water quality, and creating jobs for Georgians.

Vernon is considering all of your feedback and will make a wise decision that’s best for him, his family and all Georgians."
Here is the link: http://blogs.ajc.com/political-insider-jim-galloway/2009/06/04/vernon-jones-lets-it-be-known-that-hes-still-a-possibility/?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstab The last sentence is especially revealing because it reveals that Vern considers what is best for himself and his non-existant "family" before the needs of Georgia. Jones is a self-serving political jerk and we all know it will take years of hard work to reverse the damage he did to DeKalb during his administration. Vern needs a job, why don't we help him out. I nominate Vern for head "county dawg catcher", it seems like the appropiate position for a man of Verns experiance and personality. Vern's ego is the size of Montana. Perhaps he should move there so his ego will have space to grow.

We have often thought it was great that Police Officers have a chance to do some off-duty work to make money.

The DeKalb Police Dept. used to come here with the GA Power tree crews to cut the trees. This past time around, since DeKalb Police found out that GA Power had lied about having easement, weren't with GA Power's tree crews. This past time, they brought GA State Patrol Troopers.

After doing an Open Records Act request to find out what GA Power had told the Troopers, we found that GA Power told them we had threatened to kill one of the managers from GA Power. What a crock!

DeKalb County Officers do a wonderful job. And if I could find the Officer that was with the tree crews, the one that took the time to check with the County, I would insist on a commendation. I have never been able to find out who she was. She is a true credit to the PD!

So, if and when Officers do a job, as the one I explained above, keep in mind, there are liars, even companies that might hire yall. They lie so that they can bring an officer to intimidate people while personal, private property is destroyed. They do this so they can do as they please while violation the United States and State of Georgia Constitutions. We have the Right to be compensated when our property is illegally taken by these big companies that make way too much money on the consumer already!

DeKalb Officers, we think you do a GREAT job! We are behind you 110%! Thanks for being there to protect the public....
