DeKalb Burglary Ring Busted

Members of a burglary ring in DeKalb County have been arrested. These same people could be responsible for hundreds of burglaries.

Will the office of District Attorney Gwen Fleming just slap these predators on the wrist as usual, or will she finally make an example of them?

Oh but it's so much EASYier to offer a plea. See ya back on the streets 50.

The D.A.'s office always gives everyone several chances to continue in life of crime.

I went to school with all those guys! The kid Mooch had ALOT of potential to play basketball professionally; I guess burglary is more fun. And even funnier, he showed up to Magistrate COurt last week to answer to traffic charges and when we spoke it was as it everything was 100 percent and he didn't mind being in the presence of 100 million cops!

These people are scum. Perfectly mentally and physically able to work. Own a car to get to work, and STILL choose to steal. The only question is...will the DA go after these habitual thieves and make an example of them or will they soon be out on the streets again committing crimes against the good people of this county? When is the DA going to start sending a message to the predators that open season on our communities is over? The sooner the better. I am tired of the wild west, free for all criminal activity in DeKalb county.

The DA's office will probably complain about not getting the court supp, when the actually did, then let the case sit around for a few years, then offer them a pathetically weak plea deal.

I dare anyone from the DA's office to dispute that.

Hats off to all who participated in the bust! I have a sneaking suspicion that crimestat/criminal analysis had a large part in positioning the cop in the right place at the right time.
Y'all know my views on Gwen Keyes so all I am going to say is keep up the good work guys, perhaps this blog should consider expanding more blog-time on Gwen and company in view of the blogs success against Bolton and his cronies. A hearty "Well done" to this blog's staff, you gave Ellis everything he needed to can Bolton! Gwen and the DA's office needs a little prodding, I hope this blog will look into the issue.

Good Job Center Officer's for a job well done..I believe Officer Coleman was the officer that caught this scum.....But all the officers that have been on 42 suppression day in and day out deserve a pat on the back....

We have more criminals out on bond or on probation committing same crimes over and over in DeKalb.

There was a burglary crew?

I thought ICP had all that type of stuff shut down.

Very Good!

Kudo's to the officer that snagged these guys. We've had these burglaries going on for a good while and it's gotten to be a bit of a problem.

It's my understanding that Investigators from the DA's office assisted with the investigation and got the cases indicted before their first preliminary hearing. So maybe something will be done.
