anyone know what our options are for removing her? I get that the CEO has no authority over her, but what can we do as citizens? Is there some sort of recall process? Do we need to ask the Presiding Officer to vote on a recall or removal?

It is hard to believe she gets to vote on our budget.

Conduct Prohibited by the DeKalb County Code of Ethics

The law which created the Board of Ethics, and as amended, specifically sets out certain conduct which is prohibited by those members who are subject to the jurisdiction of the Code of Ethics. Those members shall not:

Disclose or use confidential information acquired as a result of the member’s position for private gain;
Appear on behalf of himself or another concerning any contract or transaction which may be the subject of an official action of DeKalb County;
Use his/her position to secure unwarranted privileges for himself or others;
Render service to any private business which is adverse to or incompatible with the proper discharge of his/her official duties;
Acquire an interest in any contract or transaction at a time when the member may have reason to believe that such an interest will be affected by his/her official actions or actions of the governing authority;
Engage in any activity or transaction that is prohibited by a law that is applicable to him/her by virtue of being a member of the governing authority;
Enter into a contract with DeKalb County on behalf of himself or another involving services or property in which that member has an interest. This prohibition applies while that person is a member of the governing authority, and for twelve months thereafter.

Sounds like we need to get rid of politicians. Lets start with our board of commissioners, then move into the CEO's office. The rules do not apply, stop trying. No accountability in this county. You scratch my back and I will scratch yours. Sounds good though!

Reading the story of the investigation into the Dunwoody fire last week on CBS46's web site. I see that Gwen Keyes has already started a criminal investigation on the suspended firefighters. It amuses me that she will jump all over a case like this but she makes nary a peep over the criminal behavior of a fellow elected official.

Anon5, I had a peek at the DA's "office of integrity" last week, and there was a ton of stuff on the white boards concerning School board stuff including some investigations into other school systems. Didn't see a thing on internal county government investigation. I doubt they would place any internal investigative information within eyesight of casual viewers, but my guess is that it is not happening.

If the Feds investigate this, someone's going to jail.

Why woudld anyone that cant pay their own bills and balance a home budget feel the need to take on the job as a county commissoner, waste a BOATLOAD of money to win the seat?? P O W E R......
she needs to be removed ASAP.

No one knew of her financial problems before her election. Her lack of acumen in financial affairs really does concern me. After all, the county budget is around $575 million. That is a tidy amount.

Then again, one of President Obama's chief financial advisors, screwed up his income tax. So what's the use of worrying. It will cost us a tax increase in the end. That is the DKC way.

Does anyone care Mosby is her longtime, live in boyfriend?

She says she spent $69K out of pocket. The only question I have is: Who's pocket?
