According to the Atlanta Journal, residents are calling for an investigation into the police who released Sharon Sutton on expired arrest warrants.
One resident in particular, Betty Maddox, a retired DeKalb County employee, says she is disgusted, angry and upset.
Why is everyone so quick to judge the police and not Commissioner Sutton? Why are residents not demanding she resign? Why are they not demanding a ethics panel investigation? Why is Ms. Maddox not demanding at the very least Sharon Sutton be removed from the budget committee.
We are calling out Sharon Sutton. She is a liar, she is a fraud, she is a criminal and she should resign immediately. We are disgusted, we are angry and we are upset the public is not outraged by her actions and outraged that Burrell Ellis and the rest of his band of merry men are not demanding an investigation into Ms. Sutton's actions.

It is easier to blame the police department. She will probably be elected again at the next election.
Its always the police officer fault.
As a Uniform Sgt I see the call as its sent from the 911 calltaker to the dispatcher. Its at least a 3 to 7 min delay on each call, no matter what kind of call, sig 44p, sig 50 or a sig 10. You call 911 the 911 call taker gets it, writes up the call then "emails" it to the area dispatcher, if shes doing anything as checking OLNs or tags she cant even see the call. Thus the delay, Its all a system failure not a people failure. AND EVERYONE knows this. Thanx to Bolton/Pearson/Vernon
Lets see. DKPD is called to investigate an accident. DKPD runs license and sees warrants. DKPD sees a county commissioner. DKPD allows commissioner to go about her merry little way. DKPD now wants everyone to take blame except for them.
Common sense guys, Sutton should have been arrested. We would not be having discussion if certain people within DKPD weren't trying to kiss ass and cover asses. The officer should have followed protcol and arrested Sutton. Until we get the full report, we really don't know how it went down. Did Sutton pull rank and say she's a commissioner? Did the responding officer call Command and was ordered not to arrest Sutton? I hate to say it but all fucked up this one. And, its not going away anytime soon.
Well - this is not as bad as some of the things Manuel Maloof and Bobbie Burgess had the police do. Anyone still there that remembers the Presidential Hotel? That was a police-run bordello. What about Maloof's drug-swilling son? His son's rear had to be saved not just from county investigation but federal investigation. And, before any of you get too holy - don't forget W. D. Corn - whose murder was a departmental cover-up...under Burgess. Sharon Sutton is a reflection of her constituency - petty thugs. What do you expect?
If the commissioner was arrested, guess what everyone would have to explain why this happen.
Everyone talks about arresting her and that was it, but you and everyone would have called their Sgt and told them, and not leave the part out COUNTY COMMISSIONER. Ok these guys with big balls.
This is a sad day in the history of Dekalb Police Department when the current leaders fall to a political machine. This is the sign of the future.
I had sheriff departments tell me that the warrant is expired and they said let them go.
I guess it all depends on who the person is that we are calling about.
They will not come pick one up if they are going to the hospital. So what do you do at that point. I was told don't worry about it.
