I would have given anything to have been there, but didn't see this (the only) notice until after the fact. I follow several local news sources and saw nothing anywhere else.

Why couldn't Dekalb County have truly honored these Officers by giving just a little more NOTICE ??

I'm really really upset - and you know what happens when that happens! Someone is accountable. Better not have been Sheila.

It was sent out several times on county email.

I was there, the turn out was very low, both from officers and the general public. I just don't think it was publicized enough for the public.

We do this every year at the same time. These officers gave their life doing what they loved.

There was a push several years ago when Eddie Moody was Chief to get the family members there, and at that paricular one, there were several members that had come who had never been before, and had no idea that it even existed. we need to do that again. We also need to impress the importance of getting our own people there for respect to our fallen officers.

I mean, if they were serious about inviting the public to attend.... I don't work for the county.
