The Housing Authority of DeKalb County Improperly Used Its Net Restricted Assets

The DeKalb County Housing Authority spent 2.5 million dollars of federal money on items other than the required housing assistance payments.

Just think what's going to happen when Burrell gets his hands on 36 million dollars from the feds. How many millions of dollars will be slipped under the table to his cronies?

This continued corruption and ineptness makes me sick. Everytime another door is opened, its more of the same.

AWESOME...ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF QUALIFIED PEOPLE IN GOVT. THEY'LL PROBABLY BE PROMOTED. I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD SHUT THE HOUSING AUTHORITY DOWN, PERMANENTLY. SAVE THE MONEY AND MAKE PEOPLE GET A JOB.............IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN THEN YOU PLAN TO FAIL..

Corruption in Dekalb County government? Say it isn't so!

This isn't news!!

You call yourselves "journalists?"

Next time, write an article about a part of DeKalb County Government that is NOT corrupt! THAT would be NEWS!!

Standby folks, Dekalb is about to become the next Detroit.

Yea why is it we are now having to take our cars to Malcomb Cunningham ford to get our oil changed.
Come on what kinda kick back do you think is coming from there, I hear he wants to sell his old dealership to the county at the tune of 5.5 MILLION to use as the new East Precinct.
I see another scandal coming our way.

Ok, I give up. Where do I sign up to become an official "FOB" Friend of Burrell? It's time for Rufus to get PAID.

Well....this could get ugly. As screwed up as the Fed. Govt. is...nothing makes them mad as fast as "mis-spending" money allocated to help the poor..that is what happened to the Atlanta Housing Authority. Some years ago, the Feds threatened to take over AHA - until the board appointed Renee' as their Housing Authority - best thing to happen to Atlanta as well as the Housing Authority. I get real upset when these knuckleheads steal from the poor...

I have been out of the loop for four months. At the time all county oil changes were done by Fleet maintenance. Is Malcomb Ford now doing police vehicle oil changes? If so, then why?

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but does anyone have any news about our health insurance? I spoke with CIGNA today and was told that they will not offer the Medicare Advantage PFFS, High Plan or Low Plan, after the end of this year (I was told this by customer service so consider the source, but I have no reason not to believe it.). Risk Management says they should know what plans will be available to employees and non-Medicare retirees after the next BOC meeting but they don't know when they will know what will be offered to Medicare retirees.

Oh no! Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can hardly believe what I see here, Thievery and Skulldugery. What is next?

Hate to say it folks but this is what happens when you hire and promote people without ensuring the best person for the job is put in place. This has been coming on since the 80s............
