Our SWAT guys were called to the scene of a domestic at a home on Fair Pines Drive just before 11 a.m.
Some idiot popped off a few rounds at our guys, and of course they returned fire. The bad guy was the only one wounded and was transported to Grady.
Too bad the guy didn't suffer a head shot. The county could have saved money on housing the fool in the jail, maybe enough over the years to give someone a furlough day back, or maybe a new uniform shirt.

It sounded like the bad guy fired a whole lot of shots at our guys. SWAT guys only fired a couple of rounds. Couldn’t see it but I could damn sure hear it! Nobody hurt but the bad guy, so it was a good day.
DKPD SWAT Rocks!
Yes, without a doubt very solid team. Give them their props.
DeKalb SWAT: You all are my heroes! Stay safe. It's one of the necessities for our safety here in DeKalb that the BOC & Ellis haven't decided to taken away from us(in the name of saving money due because of the budget deficit!) To know you all are there when we need you is a very secure feeling.Never feel you are not appreciated...just like all of our officers on the streets of DeKalb. What would we ever do without you all! Hope we never have to find out. Have been and always will be your biggest fan. DeKalb P D rules!
You guys and your lust for blood is remarkable. This is why the citizens fear you guys, and until you stop lamenting the fact that you didn't kill someone today it will stay that way. Enjoy those holidays guys!

I suppose the SWAT guys should have just let this guy keep shooting at them! He didn't have a "lust for blood" when he shot, and shot, and shot at officers! No, he's just misunderstood. Those SWAT officers should have just walked up to him with a teddy bear and given him a much needed hug.
If you think the cops were wrong for returning fire when they were being shot at, you're a moron and should have 911 disabled on all of your phones. If you need help, call a crackhead.
Missedthepoint.com - The criticism is of the fact that our blog poster clearly lamented the fact that the perp didn't get killed. Is it not good enough that the public was protected, no officers were injured/killed and the suspect apprehended? No, he would have preferred the suspect die as well. Thin line between you and the criminals you hunt. And I don't need 911 - I have a CCL.
