Burrell, Commissioners To Hold Last Minute "Listening Session"

Burrell and his band of merry men are having a listening session concerning the 2011 budget, tomorrow January 7 at 5:00 PM in the Maloof Building.

Ellis' letter to all employees is dated December 20, 2010. This is the first we have seen of it.

We hope there is a large turn out!

Listening session, my a**. This is a mere formality for the CEO. He nor any of the BOC care what you or I think. They don't give a damn what the citizens think, they have proven that over and over. This way when someone complains the CEO can say "well we had several sessions for public input and this was what we came up with" I would like to see just one commissioner suggest a pay cut or sorry furlough day for them. I know the state doesn't allow them to take furlough days. I have yet to see a state law that prohibits them from a pay cut.

Listening session.... how about the study that told them they were TOP HEAVY and had too many executives on the payroll!

He doesn't need a stinking listening session....the study is written.

The GSU study.... that was it... Ellis should forget the Listening Session and READ the study.

Just another sack of lies from our dear ol CEO. In order to look good at the camera, he must say what he believes the people in the audience want to hear.....more lies. The old phrase....."Read my Lips".

B.E. can change the wording any way he wants to, but basically, the message will be the same.

This ain't no surprise !!!

Listen to this.....oh yeah dead silence just like we should be hearing on our radios. No 10-48's and no 10-67 long copies. Oh here's something else you can hear Burrell, me laying drags as I leave this Dept. This use to be a good place to work then the reverse descrimination kool aid started flowing. Instead of being out numbered by a certain race, we should all work together but we know that will never happen because our fearless leaders are a bunch of racists themselves. You can refer to me as 10-42 for the remainder and go ahead and say "be thankful you have a job" I'm gonna be thankful when I get on somewhere else.

CONGRATS BOC, your legacy now is you were in charge and responsible during a time of epic failure for the county. Furthermore, you created a police department that despises everything for which you stand. Enjoy owning up to THAT on your future resumes.

Haha yep I just heard 2 more supervisors resigned at East due to unrealistic expectations put on them. Can't say I blame them, who would want to be liable or responsible for the actions of current employees or this place in general? It's simply a time bomb waiting to take everything you've worked for your entire life.

No kidding... How can you be expected to handle calls AND keep track of the pending call list in order to manage it? I suppose you can do it while stuck in the office handling complaints and evals while using your nonexistent KDT. Mismanagement here is an understatement.
