Death Warrant Signed For Emmanuel Hammond's Execution

Lethal injection is too good for this animal. He was convicted of murdering Julie Love in 1988. Too bad the AJC doesn't go into detail about the murder.

Just to give you an idea of what happened; Love's remains were found in a northwest Atlanta roadside trash dump a year after she went missing. She had been raped, bound with coat hangers and shot in the head. Love, 27, a preschool exercise instructor, was pulled inside Hammond's car after she ran out of gas one night in Buckhead.

Should have never taken 23 years to send this piece of garbage to his judgment that really matters.

We shouldn't compare Emanuel Hammonds to any animal mainly for the reason that an animal would not rape another animal just for sake of raping a victim.

Emanuel Hammonds on the hand, did what he did to Julie Love for unknown reasons, all premeditated.
Hammonds is nothing more than a piece of dirt who made one mistake in life......He was born.

The needle is too good for this piece of dirt. A slow execution would be better, but in our country, that is not possible.

But for whatever reasoning, maybe this time the State Of Georgia will succeed in finishing the life of this piece of dirt once and for all

Good God. AJC is such a pos. What is the point of stating this fact without presenting anything else about the case???? Looks like it was a slow news day. Such crap reporting, and maybe the answer as to why AJC has been so close to disappearing.

AND, it was in Fulton County. I'm surprised they didn't issue him a bond and release him on society again!

My brother in law was murdered by a shotgun to the face, and my sister beaten black and blue by her ex-husband in Haralson County, and was let out on a 50k Bond and an ankle bracelet confinining him to his home (Which the police do not monitor as he is seen at stores)and was able to go see his mother this past Christmas. So, at least this guy didn't do it in Haralson.

Emmanuel Hammond destroyed lives - one (that we know of) by murdering her. Others were destroyed by rape, sodomy, stabbing, etc. One victim who was stabbed 5 times and had her throat slit - lived to face the animal called Emmanuel Hammond. Today, I pray he meets his final judgement at the end of a needle. When justice mirrors the crime - then it is truly justice. Hammond will go to sleep peacefully and not wake up on this planet. I firmly believe he is off to an eternity of fire and I could not think of a better person to receive just that. Damn those who kept him alive for 23 years - obviously it wasn't your daughter, friend, sister, etc that he violated!!

Bye Bye you wad of spit. I am glad your sorry ass is gone. Hope you chocked on that last meal of fried chicken, french fries, corn on the cob, and chocolate chip mint ice cream. I bet Julie Love would have loved to have a last meal.

It's done. RIP Julie. My wife was a friend of yours as were many other people we know.

Don't worry, you won't see him where his sorry ass is getting roasted in Hell.

I want to say that I grew-up in the same neighborhood and was a childhood friend of Emmanuel Hammonds. He was a very good child and friend. However, inspite of what others say, he grew-up in a very good family with good values and respect for life. I am 5 years older, and he looked-up to me as a mentor. I completed high school and graduated from Georgia Tech and pursued a career as an engineer. I was appalled to hear in 1988 the terrible tragedy of the sweet young lady Julie Love. It was so difficult for me to believe that Emmanuel had committed the crime. I am now 50 years old, and I had an opportunity to speak to Emmanuel in Nov 2010, and he told me that he was guilty! As a society, we continue to look for the signs which would cause a person like him to turn and make such a terrible decision. I will not attempt to defend Emmanuel's actions, and we have to accept the facts as they are. However, I can say that some of us (black or white) can escape the effects of a challenging social environment, but others cannot. We as a society must understand that there are many more Emmanuels out in the society who will be unfortunately affected by the same forces of generational neglect which grabbed and held Emmanuel. I am not speaking of financial poverty because I also grew-up in the same area which is no excuse! I am speaking of the lack of moral conviction which only comes from submitting ourselves to God! I agree that people like Emmanuel cannot be allowed to roam our society to prey on innocent victims like Julie Love, however, each of us must ask ourselves what can we do to try to have a positive impact on those persons who might be trending in the same category? Usually black and white people separate themselves in order to prevent such issues from occuring, however, every now and then an innocent black person or innocent white person falls victim to one like Emmanuel who slipped through the cracks. I send my prayers out to both Julie Love's family as well as Emmanuel's family since each family fell victim to this horrible crime.
