Can someone tell me who Hot Chocolate is!!!???

Can morale get any lower? The current changes just make you want out of this place as soon as possible.
They think this department is going to recruit the best candidates.

With the current packages we will be hiring someone just wanting a paycheck.

Some letter was posted on the 5th floor (communications) from the CEO, a 5 page deal about S & P , raises, taxes, the BOC etc. I would love to read a copy of it, Blogmaster can you track it down??

Important what could possibly be important in Dekalb county. We are not important enough per our CEO

I suggest someone call Burke and request ALL memos and Documents regarding the Bond rating. They are public documents and they can not refuse.
Tuesday there was a 3 hour open budget committee meeting where all the Bodn info was discussed and Stogner and Gottleib were grilled on what was going on.
I suggest that some of the conspiracy theorist actually take the time to attend these meeting. They are going to get better.
While you are at it do a ORR on any memos or press releases from the BOC on the same subjects
Tuesday there is a commission meeting, Benefits Committee meeting instead of getting mis information from here, get some one to attend and ask questions publically.

Recruitment, how is going through entire process of hiring, year of training, only to receive layoff notice. Wow! This will really help us recruit the best of the crop. Way to go leaders, spend 2.7 million training fire recruits then lay them off to save 2.7 million. Genius!!!!

Here we go again. A bunch of Lieutenants will be moved around to different precinct next Saturday. Yarbrough says he didnt want all the strong Lieutenants at one precicnct. He wants to spread them around. And we thought Kliesrath was bad! I have lost all respect for Chief OB for allowing Yarbrough to destroy this place. Will the Director step in and stop this madness?

Anonymous said...

Thank god, maybe some of the hostility at East will change with some new Lieutenants, unfortunately as long as a senior citizen Major (we all know who) is running that place I doubt it. Word is only officers who write the most tickets will be allowed to take time off. example "Officer (fill in the blank) you can have these days off, but you have to write me 15 tickets today"

Anonymous said...

Can Majors get moved around please? East needs a new one bad!

Anonymous said...

Who in their right mind will apply to DKPD now? Im guessing the ones that no other department will take. Does the recruitment announcement advertise poor leadership from the Board of Crooks?

Anonymous said...

Anon 5:50 - the "leaders" you're talking about are our brilliant CEO and Wiz Miller. We have no money yet we are handing over 80 perfectly good and trained and free fire recruits. Way to go idiots. We all know you're pulling these kinds of moves just to get the citizens pissed off so you can get your tax increase. I'm po'd all right - and can't wait to get rid of you both.

Anon 6:15pm, You've only just now lost respect for OB? The moment the blue order came out making yakbrough the Asst Chief is when I lost it for OB. Sorry, but that guy is a mental mess. These changes Yak has made is beyond belief. If he loves DKPD as much as he says he does, he'd step down ASAP. He continues to believe the public is the Enemy as outlined in his memo's. I can think of three Majors right now who'd do a hell of a better job than the Yak. He does have pretty hair though.

So I hear former Chief Rancifer has a sweet job with UASI: pays well, and he gets to date his boss.

I saw on the news that Joshua Waller, the guy that shot a DKSO deputy last year was rearrested today. I couldn't believe that a judge granted him bond after having shot a deputy. I'm certainly no legal expert but I do know that people who have been arrested for armed robbery/aggravated assault, yet didn't actually shoot anyone, have been held without bond. So does anyone know how a guy who shot a deputy gets bond? Is it up to the judge's discretion? Which judge let this guy out?

Hey DKPD how about sending your finest to Carrollton this summer? Toughest cop is June 21. Consider this a challenge from your brothers at Chamblee.

Anonymous said...

Wow, can this place become a zoo?

We are now in our final stage of destruction.

We are sinking and we are not the Titanic ...yet.

Anonymous said...

I can only wonder what is next in store for the current leader ship in place.

@9:53
If we sent someone, everyone else would complain on this blog site that they only went because: they are white or black ( take your pik), they have a take-home veh, they are friends with Wiz or the Chief, they only went cuz they wrote more tickets.....you get what I'm saying.

I (one of many taxpayers) hate to sound like a broken record, but the same old shit is still coming out of our CEO's mouth. Taxes, taxes, we need more taxes. "Don't the taxpayers of Dekalb County understand that I need more money for my buddies and friends that I have employed here in this county all these months" stated Burrell Ellis.

Of course not states the taxpayers. We, the taxpayers are not privy to have full pockets of money like the Bunch of Crooks and the Crooked Emperor Officer have.

Dekalb like the Feds, has to get off its fat butt and start saving for that rainy day instead of a daily dose of pissing it away!!!

Anonymous said...

How do you miss a 15 inch long bloody knife sitting on the front porch that a reporter spotted from 20 feet away from the house?

Anonymous said...

I just hope my lieutenant doesn't get transferred. He still believes in his job, and is concerned about the safety of his officers.

All his asks of his officers is just do the job you signed up for, and nothing less.

I've seen him on more than on occasion just really piss of the captain and major by calling bullshit, bullshit.

And when he gets out to police, it's "old school" baby!

Anonymous said...

To 12:06 a m: more power to your Lt.now THAT's the kind of superior officer we need more of. You and your people are really lucky. Take care and stay safe. From a citizen and x-DKPS employee who still really cares about what happens to you all.

Anonymous said...

Hopefully a certain Tucker day watch Lt. gets moved. Talk about bringing an entire Precinct down, he along with his sidekick Sgt. B., they did nothing but sit in the office and head hunt. Between the two of them I thought we had our daily episide of the "View" with as much gossip that they were blabering out of their mouths. At least the Officers now will be free to do Police work and not worry about getting paper put on them for every little thing.

Anonymous said...

Question? Are furlough days in our future? If so what the heck are the waiting for to tell us? Its already April. I guess i should pay my rent and misc C ahead a few months just in case they come to us late like last year! Smh!!!!! No consideration or respect for those of us who keep this county from being the absolute worse......

Anonymous said...

I think that Lt. at Tucker needs a new dose of reality, he thinks he can't be touched. I'd suggest that Officers start driving by his house while he is "supposed" to be on duty and calling the news so they can ask the tough questions. Lt. why are you at home during business hours? Why are you trying to hide your police car in the garage when u should be at work? Oh and who are these female Officers that have been coming in and out of your place? Just saying your neighbors are watching, and have been wondering why their tax dollars are being wasted......when was the last time you got out and really policed? Other than your lame road blocks?

Anonymous said...

Hey to the chamblee PD oficer who challenged DKPD to the Carrollton Toughest cop June 21 event..The event is only for depts with 200 or less. http://www.gapoliceandfiregames.com/index.php

Its bad enough that the moral is at its lowest point in history, and with all of the pettiness going on, it seems to the average person that this department is nothing more than a babysitter.

Granted, if this is what policing has come to in this county, maybe the Governor should step in and start over again. These petty snipits going back and forth all the time doesn't get anywhere with anyone, except to piss each other off.

Y'all have a job at this department because y'all decided to fill out the apps, go through the entire hiring process, then hit the streets, and now, for what?

If y'all wanted to piss each off, then go back into the armed services because there, it doesn't matter.

So quit acting like immature, stupid, egotistical, children and do the job y'all were hired for and SHUT UP, because as one of those many taxpayers who pays your salary and benefits, I am tired of reading and hearing about it. This also applies to those officers with three stripes, one and two bars, and even those with some clusters.

Its time to get the "show on the road again"

Whoever that Tucker Lt. is better not live outside the county if the posts are true. If they live inside the county then it is not such a big deal as officers have been going to their house if they live in the county for many years. I’ve known officers who ate lunch or dinner at their house every day if they are close to their precincts. Of course the thing about the women is a different matter entirely. Sounds made up but who knows.

The state of the police department as a whole? Horrible! Putting that coo-coo bird Yarbrough in that position was a huge mistake. Why would O’Brien allow him to demote Williams and Fore? This was just a dagger in the heart of the Uniform Division. I’m not friends with Fore or Williams but what message does it send when two guys like that can be demoted by an absolute mad man like Yarbrough for no good reason?

Why don’t they just move a couple of well thought of supervisors to Animal Control or Crossing Guards. Then they can be just like Bolton and Rancifer instead of just 90% like them. Of course from what I understand Yarbrough was tight with Rancifer for years so I guess it should come as no surprise. I like O’Brien but allowing a nut job to be in charge of the entire Uniform Division and treat people like this is a huge mistake!

To Anon 10:51

What if we really want to do our job but we can’t because of poor supervision and the disgraceful manner in which this county is operated? Would it be of if we were pissed then?

Anonymous said...

Hey 9:09,
The 200 or less rule is only if your are trying to do a team event with a team comprised of officers from several different departments. You can do any team event with all Dekalb Officers. Tough cop is an individual event. See you there tough guy :).

Anonymous said...

To anon 10:51,
No one is forcing you to read this blog, so piss off peasant.

Anonymous said...

Whats up with the lost power at 34 the other day? I wanted lo flyer to assist

Anonymous said...

ANON 2:58 and 8:46,

Actually, that lieut is probably the best lieut at Tucker. Im not big into defending supervisors but it is pretty obvious you have an axe to grind. Everyone on our watch hopes he stays. By the way, if he hides in his garage, how do you or his neighbors know he's there?

Anonymous said...

Dang man! I dont even like brass, but if you are sitting there watching to see what women come in and out of the lt's house, then you really need to get a life!

Anonymous said...

For fun Google DeKalb County Police/ bloody knife and see how many pages and pages return. made National news and Police Link FB page had a ton of comments with nice things to say about Ole DeKalb, be proud ppl.

Anonymous said...

Tucker has had 6 shootings this week. Maybe King Yarbrough wil demote his boy Major Harris now.

Anonymous said...

To Anon 1051 a.m. Can I get an amen brother. I guess he told you pukes!

Anonymous said...

Crime is soaring because the specialized units are tied up doing weekend details for freeknic and glenwood days. Perps are being pushed out of South Precinct into Tucker, thats easy to see. This should have been part of the plan, half of the Officers needed to be in Tucker, not all in South running over each other.

Anonymous said...

What precinct was responsible for the murder weapon left at the scene in plain view? Guess that's why they need new supervision. How embarrassing...

Anonymous said...

Are you stalking the LT? Bitter about something? How the hell do you know where the LT lives? How many times have you seen women come in and out of the Lts house? And if that's the case, why haven't you said anything? Come on now, have some balls or ovaries!

Anonymous said...

TRT has been in South/East and Tucker, however do you really think they are here to keep the public safe? hell no, it was just an excuse to activate TRT, and take officers from the road to handle 911 calls to write more tickets. This place is out of control.

Anonymous said...

Director Miller where are you when the police department needs you? This looney toon Yarbrough is insane. Tucker Evening Watch and Day Watch had the best stats of any other evening or day watch in the entire department. Then he moves our lts. Now we gotta deal with a lt coming here with an attitude because they got sent to tucker. I really hate this place.

DKPD ...........Please Search your J1's Before you Bring them to jail ............We at DKSO Today just found a loaded 22 on a perp.....inside the holding tank .We at SO missed it also ......This could have been someone's life ...take the time .

How did the media get a picture of Gucci.Mane being..lodged.at intake?.it wasnt the mug shot it appears it was taken from a camera phone

Why they are shifitng the Captains and Lt's around they need to be shifting the Sgt's around as well. Let's talk about South precinct A1 Sgt Louis Pierre who was fired for domestic assault on Flemister's ex girlfriend and Pierre's longtime girlfriend Lamonique Collins. He had a temper tantrum at the gas pumps years ago kicking over trash cans and being insubortinate to his supervisors. Yet and still after being fired he was allowed to come back to this county to work and get promoted with the help of his New York homeboy now LT Rorey. This particular SGT has dated several female officers in this county who work for him at this present time (T Linsey) and you talk about management maybe you CHIEFS need to check into what not some of your supervisors are doing but all of them.

Anonymous said...

Dont forget about his recent domestic w K Jackson, she tried to come to.South and work under him but she was sent to Tucker instead

Anonymous said...

who is Hot Chocolate? Damn!!!!
