Cop killers should never make it to court.

As far as this case goes individually I'm not sure - but consider this: In all of the years and all of the cases the Georgia review board has looked at - 33 in total - NONE of them have resulted in a reversal of the death penalty. That either means that every one of those cases was air tight or that the board is nothing more than rubber stamp for the prosecution. Considering you guys' interactions with "boards" which do you think is more likely?

But the media and liberal society say it was all a giant conspiracy against him with no motive to mention and despite numerous inquiries coming to the same conclusion, GUILTY. Learn to co-exist like a human being or start your own society. Disregard, they already did and it's called Dekalb County.

A victory for the Rule of Law over misguided left-wing public opinion. A great day!!! (If only Obama and his ilk in DeKalb Co. government were even vaguely familiar with the concept of the Rule of Law)

Sadly seven of the nine witnesses recanted their statements. I sure hope this isn't another injustice. May both families find the peace they need.

All that wasted money on lawyers, appeals, more lawyers and more appeals and most important, too many meals.

It shouldn't take 22 years to carry out a death sentence for killing a LE brother, but thats our judicial system.

It takes a long time for closure and makes the lawyers rich. "What a system".

What about all the grief for the victims family or doesn't that come into the equation?

Life is very short and perps makes it shorter for some of the dumbest reasons.

God Bless our Brothers and Sisters in public safety and the military.

In honor of Officer MacPail, let your water faucets drip at 7:00 PM. Finally, Troy Davis will get the only judgement that counts. If God judge's him to hell for eternity, so be it.

In Texas if you murder a cop you move to the front of the line to be executed. The last cop killer was put to death 5 years after he was found guilty.

I miss ol sparky.Everytime they used it it save me money on my electric bill.I made sure i would ture off all my lights during the execution so all the juice would go to the perp.....

Tonight convicted cop killer Troy Davis will get his... To be honest it should be a Pay Per View event, and all proceeds to go to victims family

After all the people who have been exonerated through DNA, we should give pause when there is the possibility of a false conviction. For those of you who so flippantly say 'kill' Troy Davis, imagine it was you who was falsely accused. If I was a member of the victim's family, I would want the right person to be punished, not just anyone.

Troy Davis is guilty. There is no evidence to suggest otherwise. All of the appeals have resulted in the same conclusion. Some witnesses may have changed their stories, but not all have. Even without their testimony, there was enough to convict Davis. I hate how the anti death penalty crowd uses lies and misrepresentation of evidence to confuse people into believing everyone on death row is innocent and the victim of a conspiracy.

Why not press charges against the witnesses who changed their statements. Looks to me like they lied under oath. Scum sucking defense lawyers who will bill the state for millions for this last ditch effort. Rest in Hell Tory Davis. Prayers to the McPhail family for your loss has been overshadowed by special interest groups.

The witnesses changed their statements from "Troy Davis did it" to "I don't remember what happened" changed their stories long after the statute of limitations had expired.

Well, we're not going to see this resolved tonight. But consider this: Life in prison, no possibility of parole, every day a living hell. Or going to sleep and not waking up. Hmmmmm - I know what I want his sentence to be.

Anonymous September 21, 2011 2:41 PM is an idiot. Apparently, dumbass, you have no understanding of the United States criminal justice system. A conviction beyond a reasonable doubt by a jury of his peers (our society) based upon EVIDENCE and the defense after 20 F'ing years could not introduce any new evidence to reverse his conviction. If you don't like it, then go to some other damn country. Say perhaps somewhere in Europe!

I celebrate this justice was finally served! Rest in peace Officer McPhail and may God be with his family.

crime committed, found guilty, sentenced to death, cycle completed.

Read Judge Moore's ruling and then tell me if you think Troy Davis was guilty. Also, there were some witnesses that "changed" their mind but it was not nine. Read the ruling, it is enlightening.

Riddle me this Batman, how is it all of the people calling for his life to be spared, never mention the Officer. And I am including Senator Forte, Congressman Hank Johnson, and the rest of the people calling for amnesty. They seem to forget how we got here in the first place.
All of the Courts have ruled the witnesses who recanted were not credible to begin with!
Blessed is the nation who's God is King!

Riddle me this Batman . . .

The more important answer to a riddle is just why the voters in DeKalb County insist on putting in office like Cynthia McKinney, Vernon Jones, Burrell Ellis, and several school board members that are just incompetent. Not to mention the one that is a convicted felon.

Batman?
