Occupiers, We Mean Campers, Have Taken Over The Yard of One of DeKalb's Finest

You know, we had a long editorial typed out concerning Rorey, the Occutards and Rorey’s financial woes. In particularly we addressed those rushing to Rorey’s side saying they support Rorey and the OccuTards because the commissioners are the cause of his financial problems. Admittedly, it rambled on into the national political arena. This blog is not the place.

But to those defending Rorey’s invited campers, please, keep your idiotic reasoning in the closet. The OccuTards claim to be against corporate greed. We have yet to see them occupy Decatur, denouncing the abuse the commissioners are afflicting on police officers.

We haven't heard from Lt. Rorey, so we don’t know his side of the story. But his wife is neither claiming corporate greed nor the reduction in pay. She is claiming they are victims of scammers.

It’s reasonable to believe anyone of us can become a victim of identity fraud at any moment, and hopefully everyone has take precautions. But a police officer being scammed?

We’ll just leave it there.

Its another sad day for Dekalb County Officers. As reported on WSB 2 news another Dekalb Officer lost his home to foreclosure. Thank you Board of Commisioners, we thank you everyday for reducing our take home pay, and putting real families on the street. I hope you enjoy your job keep killing the employees that work for the citizens of Dekalb. Hang in there Rorey it will get better.

Isn't it against Dept policy to associate with known criminals? I wonder if this will be addressed. Also, shouldn't a police officer have enough sense to pay attention to detail and read the small print? I would be concerned with his ability to adequately supervise and enforce the law if his attention to detail is so lacking.

No one wants to see someone get foreclosed on, especially one of our own, but let’s put a few things here in perspective.
• Lt Rorey is a Law Enforcement Officer.
• He reached out to a protest group that has broken numerous laws. I believe the arrest numbers in Atlanta have gone over 100 now.
• During these protests this group has attacked Law Enforcement. Most have probably seen the video of them attacking the APD motor officer. (Oh and let’s not forget the guy who carried the loaded AK47 around the park for days)
• This group has stated that they plan to physically stop the Gwinnett Marshalls from evicting Lt Rorey. That is called OBSTRUCTION it is a crime.
• Lt Rorey’s reason for doing this is to avoid following a court order to leave his house, this is also a crime.
So basically one of our fellow Law Enforcement Officers has asked a group, that has proven it is violent toward Law Enforcement, to commit a crime against another Law Enforcement Agency on his behalf.
Chief O’B you better act swiftly and decisively, the eyes of all metro law enforcement are on you.

First off DKPD police you simply read the LIBERAL news slant without gaining more facts. What the Lt. did was something very very stupid read the whole thing from Gwinnett Post and you will not have feel sorry for him. He simply stopped paying his mortage for a year duh what do you expect to happen? He hooked up with the wrong person. What next you buy a car from someone standing outside an auto parts store with no title? Then tell auto theft you did not know it was stolen!

These are the same twerps that pulled our APD brother off his motorcycle and shout "put the pigs back in the sty" and "who do you serve, who do protect" while putting their middle finger in the face of hard working cops. Sorry.. they are not MY brothers.

Pay your damn payment. You are not a member of the BOC and get a free ride. Remember when you used to have to have good credit to be in PD. Chief O'Brien don't allow this Lt. to make DeKalb Officers look even more foolish. To associate with this group of law disregarding wanna be hippies is pathetic. Why am I not being evicted, oh yea, I made my house payments. What has the Lt. been doing with this money that has been saved over the past twelve months by not making mortgage payments? Sorry to dog on a fellow officer but come on!

Did anyone read the whole story? Then it comes out that he is a watch commander and he works for us. Another smudge against us all!!! He needs to get assigned to the Record room or some place where he is out of sight, out of mind. Give him a desk at Roads and Drainage entering tickets in the profiling database and tell him he has to wear street clothes to work.

Isn't Rorey the Lieutenant that tries to steal the Perimeter traffic job from an MPO and intimidate Sgt. Barden?

10:27pm, yes, that's another time he whipped out his race card.

You think his supervisor will wait until forced by the media to take action as usual or do what should have been done years ago?

DeKalb County Govt is not unlike the molesting uncle that keeps luring the unsuspecting innocent into a dimly lit closet in hopes of receiving a lollipop but instead receives something entirely different. DeKalb investments serve only those receiving the kickbacks (sound familiar - Wall St) so get back what you can from these crooks before they suck you dry.

Any officer that has lost thier house to foreclosure, deserved to lose it.. There are many ways while working for Dekalb County to make extra money.. And for you that have the criminal mind, I dont mean illegally... I dont give a rats asss what you say, there are plenty and I mean plenty of part time jobs out there to make ends meet..And with three days off get a second job outside the dept.. That having been said, Did the officer that lost thier house have cable, a real nice cell phone, real real nice bling car, so f=off with it being Dekalb County's fault. Its like the food stamps,WIC, SEc 8 and Welfare..I cant afford food, a place to live, but Ill driver up to the sec 8place with a brand new Escaladeyyy, 200 dollars sneakers, gold in mouth and around my neck, cable tv, a 500 dollars cell phone but complain at Public because the food stamp allows publix's bread and not wonderbread,, What a joke... Obamanomics at it best baby.. An officers that loses thier house, its that officers fault... I know for a fact, an officer at South Pct did not pay thier mortage for 2 years.... 2 years. Said could not afford it but it did not stop that officer from having a cell phone ,nice car and go out drinking all the time....2 years and did not pay the mortage.2 whole years living there and did npt pay anything. 2years of my mortage is $30,000 Live there for two years free and then just left... yea thier credit is now shot, but really, I mean really do you really think they care... But itsssssss Dekalb Countys Fault... Remember that officer saying if anybody else was having problems with thier mortage, they should do the same. Something like that, to me, would be embrassing and I certinly would have been bragging about it. Welcome to Obama way of thinking and doing. Well that Officer deserved to lose thier house and should never be allowed to own anything ever ever again. F--ing Slugs...
