Somebody Is Going To Hell!

AJC headline: Chaos, death after DeKalb funeral: ‘Oh God, they're shooting'

Good Lord, you can't even go to a funeral at a church around this place anymore, much less a drive in movie, where a shooting victim is said to have interrupted suspect during sex.

We can't imagine what the loser of a soapbox derby will be capable of.

The crime in this county, a writer for Hollywood, couldn't make up the stories that happens in this county on a daily basis.

Dekalb County is the wild, wild west all over again and will continue to prevail. This isn't Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, or the Lone Ranger, but the battlegorunds of Dekalb County.

With all of the gunfights and corruption that this county has to offer, it is a wonder why anyone would want to reside here.

When a person buys a home in theis county, the real estate agent fails to tell the buyer......"No extra charge for the bullets flying".

any scheduled protests denouncing this event?

I am having a hard time addressing a citation in Dekalb County. I need to get in touch with a judge or Kathy Crumbley. What is her direct number? The general number is an automated machine that doesn't allow me to ask any questions.

I agree..Life is short..

The ONLY reason to stay at DKPD is the pension....and that is ONLY if you are under the old plan.

If you're under the new plan and have less than five years... you should take that experience and jump.

IMHO

CENTRAL AND NORTH HAIRSTON BABY WHAT A SPOT!!!!! Oh and good luck getting a hold of anyone at Recorders Court. We get subpoenas from them, and the contact goes directly to the same recording.

And the BOC threw First 48 out because they thought it looked bad for the county! Maybe you need to throw about 50% of the population out then. Until they stop tolerating this crap no business or productive family wants to relocate to here.

You gotta love it!!! A funeral for a perp and 2 more go down, killing one another. Wiz......before you get on tv and open your mouth, maybe you should first get your facts straight.

A victimless crime. The only bad part is all the gas that was wasted by so many units out there, lol.

Perhaps if The Elected Officials of DeKalb County had paid the Derwin Brown Family the $50,000.00 in Life Insurance Benefits that was in limbo due to his transition to Sheriff and instead, spending millions of dollars in Lawyer Fees not to, had spent the Lawyer Money on The Derwin Brown Center for Youth in DeKalb County, things might be better.

From Lithonia to Ellenwood, DeKalb's Youth are amuck in gangs, stupidity and ignorance. Some of these traits have been inheirited from the parents.

And don't get me started on The Lack of Education that many of the youth in DeKalb are not receiving.
Once again millions wasted by DeKalb's Elected officials on Lawyer's Fees connected to our school problems. Why not arbitrait?

Sooner rather than later, I think we will see greater Federal Involvement into the Criminal Activities of our Elected Officials and County Directors.

Bringing DeKalb's Director of Green Space and Park Bond Monies before a Grand Jury is on the horizon, I do believe.

I like some of you officers long for the day when our Board of Crooks is marched off in mass cuffed to the Federal Pen.

Unfortunately being under the old plan is no protection (http://www.onenewsnow.com/AP/Search/US/Default.aspx?id=1611292) as you can see here via California now so all those years were wasted in Dekalb. Please leave while you are healthy enough as your health insurance will be dropped when you need it most in all probability.

Well, if the CEO was interested in reducing crime and stopping the violence, then he needs to do away with the PALS unit and invest as much interest in the police as he does a soapbox derby track.
Miller sure does go to all the scenes with Chief Holmes, wonder why? I never saw him on a scene or on the news at a scene before. I'm just saying...
Another possible use for the land for the soapbox derby site is an executive heliport, or possibly a parking lot for Amtrak.

The ONLY hope for Dekalb is more cities forming and taking over their own public safety functions like what happened in Fulton and now Dunwoody and soon to be Brookhaven.

You know that the violence in DeKalb is directly related to how ineffectual the courts are at prosectuting, and actually sentancing criminals, not how ineffective the police that apprehend them are.
If a teenager thinks he will be able to get away with breaking into someones home, robbing the, and assualting a female there, and the victim of that crime thinks that same thug wont be caught and prosecuted, then its natural for that victim to want to take the law into thier own hands. Where the shootout and double murder at the funeral comes into play is anybodys guess.
Vigilantizm? Payback? Or just the need to express anger and frustration over the legal justice system in the only way they know how.....murder and mayhem?
Another day in the neighborhood....aint that right Mr. Rogers...
It damn sure aint Leave it to Beaver anymore in DeKalb!
