Chief Cedric to Resign?

Strong rumor is Chief Cedric is going to flee DeKalb for the greener pastures of Rochester New York. The mayor of Rochester will make her announcement next week.

Heard she was friends with Benita Ransom and that is her ticket to DeKalb. Anonymous said...: Chief Alexander has said publicaly that the turnover in chiefs is a problem so I doubt he would add to that by taking a new job.

Executive level searches are different. One of the things that happens is that people who are not interested in changing jobs are often asked to submit resumes and do interviews just so the search committee will have something to compare to. In this case, they have two locals vying for the job. They ask Chief Alexander to submit a resume, knowing he won't take the job, so they can see which of the other two compares most favorably to him.

Remember, Rochester is a demotion because its a smaller department.

Anonymous said...: 4:06, you're not too bright. Alexander is the chief. SOD (Chief Harris) and CID (Chief Yarbrough) have already went to a 5-2. Holmes has nothing to do with either of them. So tell me how has Alexander said no to that? Uniform will be next and even I'm sure you will blame Holmes for that as well even though Alexander ultimately makes the decision because he is chief. Also, your claim that goi to a smaller department is a demotion is just hilarious. The only thing good that Alexander has done is create ILP.
