Strong rumor is Chief Cedric is going to flee DeKalb for the greener pastures of Rochester New York.  The mayor of Rochester will make her announcement next week.

Getting while the getting is good?

If Dekalb can't keep a chief......

Maybe this will be a wake up call and they'll do more than a one time bonus and healthcare that is good for more than six months.

You don't have to switch departments here for complete change, it comes almost annually with each passing chief. You ass-kissers better start doing your exercises for the next ass (whichever sucker that will be) that comes through the doors. What a joke this place has become.

He'll get the Sheila Edwards resignation package.

Good bye and we will help pack your bags...the guy is an class A a-- hole. What has he done since his arrival??????I'm waiting???

If the chief departs, with no scandals or achievements, this can only demoralize DKPD officers.
I reserve judgment until we see what happens.

I hope he resigns. He hasn't done one thing to improve our department. Just so all of you know Chief Alexander has decided our department is going to a 5-2. That is everyone, including uniform. It's going to take place in 2014. His sorry ass just doesn't want anyone to know because he doesn't want to look bad and have people talk smack about him before he goes to NY.

Cedric Gina says he's unhappy with the direction his union is taking.

Get the snow shoes on as he will need them. After all, didn't he come from that part of the country to begin with?

Maybe there is the reason for not getting POST certified. Time to start the ball rolling again. Hello DALLAS TX.....What are you sending us now?

The mere fact that he has not came forward to dispute this speaks volumes.
Good riddance!

This place is so bad even the chief is fleeing!!!!

Anonymous said...

Well at least he brought us the I.L.P. Unit. They have made a big difference in fighting crime.

Get ready for upcoming changes announcing Chief Holmes and Asst. Chief Fore, Major Scrap Iron.

Anonymous said...

Raise your hand if you haven't gotten to play Chief yet? This place will never get its shit together.

Anonymous said...

The word is Holmes will be the next chief...that's why he was moved over to uniform division.

You though things were bad before...watch was this freakin idiot does with the department.

It is really going to get worse now!!!

Anymore rumors of another early out????,,,

Just saying

Par for the course, the F.D. is about to hire a female from Indiana as the new chief. She has sued her previous employers and that is the best we can find here. Heard she was friends with Benita Ransom and that is her ticket to DeKalb. Lee May take charge before we end up the same as them or with Holmes, another Bolton, etc. To 11:37pm that was Lee May that brought those items to the table not Alexander.

Maybe we could have "TGIF Burn One", where if it's your Friday you could gather in the neutral zone (the back lot) and burn one to relax and prepare for the weekend. Wouldn't that be great?? The K-9s could come out and do some paws on training. Just think of the possibilities, moving forward!!!

there aint no take home car in my driveway,,,bonus aint in my bank account,,,,there aint no school reimbursement,,,and there sure as hell aint no restored integrity...so this chief A SUCKS!!

1137 - that's ridiculous. Chief O fought for a lot of things - but it was BURRELL ELLIS and WIZ who did not allow it to happen. At least there is a CEO now who is committed to public safety.

This place could DEFINITELY use some extensive drug testing.

To Anon , for your information OB tried all of that stuff and more but the crook Wiz Miller and Chief Mumbles put a stop to everything he attempted to do. Hell those two crack heads held staff meetings without the Chief. go figure.

He publicly stated on the news that he was staying here in Dekalb. He wouldn't blatantly lie only to jump ship at the last moment, would he?

Anonymous said...

Guess they're not afraid to work 5 days a week in NY.

Anonymous said...

As one poster stated, at least he brought us the ILP unit. They have done more to reduce crime than any unit in the history of our department.

Hahahah!!!!! @4:24 seems no matter how shitty my day is, I can look at the blog and know I'm not the only one. Thanks guys for keeping me energized through the bullshit. This place is such a joke, we all better start filling out elsewhere before we end up jailers for the SO after DKPD goes under.

Chief Alexander has said publicaly that the turnover in chiefs is a problem so I doubt he would add to that by taking a new job.

Executive level searches are different. One of the things that happens is that people who are not interested in changing jobs are often asked to submit resumes and do interviews just so the search committee will have something to compare to. In this case, they have two locals vying for the job. They ask Chief Alexander to submit a resume, knowing he won't take the job, so they can see which of the other two compares most favorably to him.

Remember, Rochester is a demotion because its a smaller department.

As for 5/2 work weeks, Chief Holmes wants that. Chief Alexander has said no to that.

Hey Mumbles just a F you from me crossing my fingers your present form the Chief is a pink slip. Lots of Love Center Precinct.

Not looking good for corruption suspects (Dekalb CEOs) in this county. Plea deals being denied left & right. Probably why Chief A. finally wants to distance himself from Ellis. http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/story/24172514/sentences-delivered-in-dekalb-school-corruption-trial#axzz2n1BLeg7Q

4:06, you're not too bright. Alexander is the chief. SOD (Chief Harris) and CID (Chief Yarbrough) have already went to a 5-2. Holmes has nothing to do with either of them. So tell me how has Alexander said no to that? Uniform will be next and even I'm sure you will blame Holmes for that as well even though Alexander ultimately makes the decision because he is chief. Also, your claim that goi to a smaller department is a demotion is just hilarious. The only thing good that Alexander has done is create ILP. Just like Harris promised, ILP has reduced crime by 50% in just 6 months.

Anonymous said...

As all of these criminals are led out of court in cuffs on the news lately I say Kudos to all of you who refused to follow the orders of these corrupt officials, often at the peril of your own career. SHAME on you that did their bidding for your own benefit and advancement. Your day is coming I assure you.

Anonymous said...

I would love to see what type of crime ILP has reduced by any percentage. All they do is redistribute BOLO's.

Anonymous said...

Pull monthly reports for CID, both Robberies and Homicides, then pull the monthly for each precinct. There is no 50% reduction in part one crimes, not even close. Hate to let facts muddy the issue.

Anonymous said...

ILP has reduced crime. It is the number 1 crime reducer in the department.

Have the Precincts been lied to about the stats we are given from ILP? Would not be too hard for us to look into.
