What Our Brother Blogger In Chicago Says About Cedric The Entertainer. God Speed Chicago P.D.

From Second City Cop

Superintendent Names Leaking
  • The African-American public safety director of DeKalb County, Georgia, outside Atlanta, has emerged as a front-runner to replace fired Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy, sources said Thursday.

Cedric Alexander is a high-ranking official in the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives and holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy.

His resume includes stints as police chief of Rochester, New York, deputy commissioner of the New York State Police and security director for the Transportation Security Administration at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
Golly, another outsider. It's almost like the past decade of incompetent "merit" promotions have driven away anyone actually capable of advancing through the ranks. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about this Department at the moment, nothing will.

And Chicago can have his sorry ass yesterday. Just called DeKalb 911 for gunfire at Rexford Dr and Flat Shoals Rd in Gresham Park. Well, is there anybody out there that thinks that DeKalb 911 answered the phone before the recording ? Of Course Not ! The second time that I called got the recording three times before I hung up and and let them call me back. On a Monday night at 11:20 ? Cedric the Entertainer knows this shit is broken, his dumb ass could not fix a parking ticket !!! This joke needs to get the hell out of DeKalb !!!

And by the way, is the Chief of Police in DeKalb qualified to hold the job ? Is he still Intrim or the Real Chief now ? The Piece of Shit Politicians that you officers have to put up with = I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DO IT = and then your Police Leadership has sucked for what 12 years, HOLY MACKEREL ANDY !!!

Call your commissioners. We need more money period. We are so many years behind in pay and they give us 4%. There were 2 more officers at south precinct that quit last week. That means wait a little longer before an officer gets there. 911 is short too so thats why you get the recording. Apparently commissioner rader thinks cops shouldn't make more than 30k a year. What a joke. Btw citizens we will have more leaving soon for marta police. So citizens wake up and tell your commissioners what you think by phone and goto the meetings in person. They only care about the voters not the employees.

Welcome to our world,Chicago P.D.. Certain police chief's/administrator's/manager's come and go around here,on a routine basis. No surprise to learn that DeKalb does not corner the market on *professional incompetence*,feather nesting,or padding resumes. This will be just another example of *updating* a newer version,of a new boss/old boss/same boss, for your department. But,with all due respect, this profession stopped being a career profession, for LEO administrator's,many, many, years ago. It seems that all to often, the legit administrators/chiefs are sacrificed on the political altars, then the frantic search is on for a more malleable *go along to get along* candidate. It's the same old saw,*don't fix the problem, place the blame*! They have mostly become gypsy employee's at best. It's uncanningly similar to the inefficient, ineffective,Marta bus system here. When one leaves, another *one* will come along after while,if it does not break down enroute,or if it is even capable of leaving the yard, under it's own power. To our potentially, unfortunate brother and sister officers at C.P.D.,standby to standby! A sh^t storm could possibly be headed your way. You all have our empathy, and sincere regrets, that your overwhelmed, unappreciated department has to endure this potential upcoming administration change, involving *our*applicant. This will be just one more example of *the empty uniform syndrome*,or as I like to call it,*THE MORE RANK THAN ABILITY SYNDROME*. Try to gear up,hunker down, and hang on. This department has managed to survive this current administration,so far. The old oceanic navigational charts have this inscription on their borders,*Beware. Here be the dragons. All ye who enter are lost*. My best advise is to prepare to don your armor for battle. Hopefully, your potential dragon will be a carbon copy of *our* poser dragon. A lot of wind,a lot of noise,a lot of confusion,a lot of threatening/posturing,but thankfully,no fire,no heat. More of a major annoyance,at best. Unfortunately, there will sadly be a wake of administrative destruction, low morale.low pay,and high turnover, left in it's wake. Our hopeful good riddance, will only result in your less than pleasant acceptance. I could say,*better you than us*,but I would not wish this on my worst enemy, much less another department. Pray for a better candidate on your horizon.

No one belongs in government that puts people (in this case officers) in harms way for the almighty dollar. Forcing revenue generating roadblocks that forces officers to respond to dangerous calls alone is negligent, incompetent leadership at best, and potentially criminal. Shame on those perpetuating and following such agendas. Your day of reckoning/prosecution is coming.

Despite the numerous losers that we've gotten rid of here that were appointed to "lead" us STILL haven't figured out they don't run the show. WE DO!

Speaking of which, I remember being told as a supervisor to deny vacation days to officers based on productivity. That dump is corrupt as they come.

Uniform officers alone and Sgt on the road deal with emergency situations, life threating situations, use of force, split second decisions that are critical to the preservation of life and property. In addition, the liability that goes along with it and how that exposes the county. And who thinks we should make 30k a year? This is a demanding job mentally and physically, it requires professionals. Accept nothing else DeKalb County. No, sanitation should not be lumped in with first responders, there is a whole different standards of occupation.
