We have no support in Dekalb county, between the commissioners, our command staff and the public we are on our own.

Wow...only in Dekalb would this happen the D.A. Is just wanting to put on a show for her re-election. Shame on you Director Lumpkin for not standing behind your officer.

None of the command staff, or commissioners will stand behind the officers but they damn sure will stand on our throats

Just do what they want.....nothing. dont use the tools on your toolbelt unless they're harming you. Just say she's refusing to leave and standby for another unit or two. Dont use any force. You cant trust this place to have your back. My God hes indited for using the necessary amount of force and cleared by two investigations.

Boy that place sure hates white officers. I’m amazed they still have any risking themselves and families livelihood working there. Shameful.

Whoever was asking for another example of malicious prosecution, here ya go. Time to get DOJ to intervene.

So we are to go out and make these arrests and produce other stats with zero support while doing iit if enough noise is made by those that hate us? This is cowardice.

So which is it, Officer Of The Year or public enemy number one? What at bunch of buffoons.

Suppose he should have spent his time stalking Tom Brady instead of doing his job. Run, run far far away from that corrupt shit hole before it's too late.

Standby by civil suit now thanks to indictment starting with training going through chain of command all the way to top for not adequately staffing department to allow him backup to help handle call.

The comments represented above does not reflect the professionalism exhibited by the majority of the department. It is not a white or black thing, racism has nothing to do with it. I am a former Marine and a retired Dekalb County Police Officer with more than 30 years of experience and yes I did wear a white shirt because I was a part of the command staff and I still wear one today. However, that video is appalling and quite disturbing. How would you like someone beating a love one of yours like a ratchet defenseless dog? In other words don't try to make excuses for that officer, his ass is going to be indicted, convicted and sent to prison. And I hope this sends a message to all of you who thinks that command staff should be backing any officer who exhibits this type of behavior.

I love all Dekalb Officers, You all are so wonderful. Retirement is nice.

Com on. As a retired Houston police officer and current attorney we as past and present officers need to stand up and speak out against this type of illegal violence. He deserved to be sent to prison. It makes the rest of us look complicit. We have to be able to call out bad eggs or more appropriately bad actions. Defending them only separates us more from the public.

This looks like malicious prosecution to me. The DA is grandstanding and planning her re-election. Choose wisely.

Well "white shirt" if your loved one assaulted a police officer, tried to push past them, refused to do as instructed as the facts of the case indicate and resulted in clearance in two investigations then I would expect you to escalate force as you've been taught to effect the arrest while giving verbal commands as this officer was doing. Stop letting emotion dictate your behavior and perception and be the professional you no doubt claim to be.

Jury trial and change of venue ASAP.

To the lone white shirt. Its obvious you haven't been a fight before. Try handling some calls on south evening watch for the WHOLE shift. You couldn't handle it. We are allowed one step up on use of force to gain compliance. Dont think he will be convicted. Just because hes a white Male striking a black female crackhead that was resisting arrest. No difference if he tazed her several times.

Sadly no one there will publicly say what is being said here in support of their officer when he is about go to prison and loose everything he and his family depend upon. If they would only realize they would held out to be a hero if they did. Instead they say it behind closed doors as a coward does while a good man is persecuted unjustifiably.

To the POS white shirt. I bet you were an office poag and the only think you got while serving as a former marine was a paper cut. I'm sure the same can be said for your service at the PD as well just shut your pie hole
