The new Dekalb Chief has taken office she was given a salary of 218,000 dollars which is more than the CEO and the Public Safety Director. The new Chief received a 33% pay increase from what the former Chief was making. All sworn personnel in the county received a “GENEROUS SIGNIFICANT 4% RAISE” the new chief is wasting no time making changes, she has visited roll-calls and different divisions in the department. Hopes were high and optimism was promising and then the transfers “Blue Orders” started coming out. It seems as if the new Chief has been misled or fooled by some of the people, she has surrounded herself with. She has blocked access to her offices, and you must make an appointment to see her.

are you F__king kidding me Curtis Williams chief of staff, this lady has lost her mind. He has been surrounded by controversy his entire career. You are a product of the company you keep so whatever she attempts to do or portray she will be lying. No respect for her.
North-central hammered Major Rutland and voiced their opinions of how bad she is and the chief has said and done nothing. she is full of lies just like the rest of the command staff.

well, boys and girls, we were warned about her from the Miami-Dade officers. they said she has a large ego and likes to show her power. It looks like it will be a bumpy three years.
so why is it that all sworn personnel gets the 4% raise, all the Metro Counties who have received a 20% or more raise for the police or Sherriff did not include the DA office or others who are not first responders actively. also, why has no one "FOP" addressed the pay compression problem? We were promised that the veteran officers were going to be taken care of since everyone else in the department was adjusted but them. Can someone please tell me why we are still being treated so poorly.
OMG, Curtis Williams Chief of Staff, obviously Chief Ramos has no judgment for character or morales because he will embarrass her for sure, although if she chose him she deserves anything that happens to her.
seeing Chief Ramos first two public speakings and hearing officers talk about how they think she will be different I had high expectations. after seeing what she has done this week I am confident she will be another train wreck. the Miami Officers were right.

so Curtis Williams is escorted out of a restricted area by the F.B.I. and the NFL and a complaint were filed with our department on him for violating procedures. he is now the Chief of Staff if this is how Chief Ramos makes decisions lord help us all.
asking for a friend did Chief Ramos and Chief Yarbrough go to the same supervisor school because they seem to be a lot alike when it comes to decision making.
Capt. Williams was her driver when she first came here to meet everyone. no telling what he told her or convinced her of. She fell for his mojo and now she wants him close to her.
Rumor is Major Rutland is going to be an assistant Chief after Yarbrough gets the boot.

With Curtis Williams being Chief of staff, how can anyone take Ramos serious. She is now made herself the biggest clown n Dekalb County. She can not be taken serious about anything.
Why would Chief Ramos be in the company of Curtis Williams, after all the shady and corrupt things he has been involved in, the new chief is just as shady as he is. All the officers in Miami-Dade has nothing good to say about her. They say she is very corrupt and vindictive.

As much as I wanted to believe that Chief Ramos was serious about coming to a Dekalb and making a positive change and to finally connect the gap between the troops and command staff. I read all the negative things about her from the Miami Dade officers and decided to make my own judgement.
Well it did not take long for all my hopes and respect to be thrown right out of the window. When you bring Curtis Williams into your inner circle then you lose all trust and respect from the troops. Not to mention the public , you look stupid to everyone.
Chief Ramos you have become a joke in your new Department.
I guess Curtis Williams did more than drive her around when she visited the department, it speaks volumes of her judgement decisions and her morals.

Has the new Chief been post certified in Georgia yet....or will she be like Dr. Alexander and refuse to go to a chiefs academy.
Chief Ramos is just here to collect a check, I am sure she will make changes and show everyone she is large and in charge. No matter what she does no one will respect her or take her serious. How can you when she allows a thug to be her chief of staff.

Based on what I have been told by some Miami-Dade officers, she has not even begun to show her true colors yet. Evidently she has a real Ego problem and has a long history of showing favoritism and making very bad decisions.

It did not take very long for the troops to start voicing the struggles with the new Chief, I was hoping she would be given a chance to do some good things. With that being said if she has associated herself with Curtis Williams then that speaks a lot about her character and the people she wants to associate with. You are a product of your environment. Don’t go upset when your officers do not respect you when you make de decisions like this.

This department has never taking care of the officers, look how the veterans are treated and abused. I worked hard to make Lt. And they can’t even give me a decent car to drive. Some new officers have better vehicles that veterans have.

Major Rutland doesn't know Ramos any better than you guys do and Iv'e seen nothing to suggest she is on her, "good side" as someone said. Stop making stuff up. And as for Curtis Williams, I understand your concerns and have no possible explanation regarding that dude. I guess there is no way to make that shit up huh? He was Vernon's thug, he was Bolton's thug and he's been involved in more stupid decisions than any supervisor who has worked at the DKPD. The decision to put him in that position is just baffling to me.
I'm so sick of this place and precinct. Some get demoted for nothing but people like a certain Major gets caught in a park and gets promoted. We need new leadership here. We are not the least bit impressed with the new Chief.
