Wild Times In South Precinct

ATM Theft Leads To Police Chase, Shots Fired

One good part of this is the officers were not seriously injured. The other good part is, if this had happened on Monday, the officers would have done all this without pay.

The bad part, the perps lived.

If only these officers who were shot at and run over worked half as hard as Ellis' secretary, then they might be worthy of a raise.

If someone gets injured in the line duty, while not being paid, are the benefits the same? Will the insurance company treat you or your family differently since you were, for all aspects, "off the clock"? Just a thought.

Just another Friday night in the Wild Wild West….I mean DeKalb County. Maybe Keith Barker will come out and help clean up this mess. He has nothing else to do for the next six months and he is taking $100,000 of the taxpayer’s money. Sounds like the South Precinct supervisors had their hands full. I would say they deserve a raise but that is obviously reserved for other more deserving people in the county govt. Good job by the officers who caught some of the low rent thieves!

i wish dekalb county officers would have wasted these scum...we need to clean up this corrupt county and the residents back the officers 100%.

i'm tired of feeling like its all a waste of time and if i don't start seeing some justice then i guess it is time to take matters into our own hands as citizens...

You are 30 years too late for that. Yall let the fox watch your hen house and they ran off with the whole place. Now you got the foxes in charge and sitting on the judges benches and you think your going to get justice even if you take it into your own hands? Should have thought about that years ago when you voted the criminals into office and left us to pick up the pieces. Not enough of us to go around any more so you really are on your own out there. Maybe the voters of DeKalb should think about this come election day in November.
A Retired Officer.....Thank GOD!
