The best damn CID Lieutenant EVER. He needs to write a book for these current CID Lieutenants. Why would I do more with less if you are pissing on me. JW got the best from his troops.........because he cared about the troops. He gave the upper management his middle finger everyday.

I worked for JW in uniform and as a detective in CID, he was tops.
If you did not know this man or served under him you missed out. He was a true leader. He did not mind sticking his neck out once in awhile, even if it risked his own ass. He would go to bat for his troops and no one screwed with his people, it did'nt matter what rank you were. Austin will pull through he is a tough bastard. At the end of your career the best compliment you can get is someone saying, "He was a cops, cop". Some officers make a career on not making waves, JW was a tsunami and survived. You are in my families prayers.
