Will Higey Baby keep his boy at center?

Word on the street is Higdon is doing everything he can to keep his boy around if it means throwing everybody under the magic bus.

[to Clark Griswold] You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

Can I drive for the Director so I can get promoted too? Im just saying........

Has anyone seen all the transfers to CID? How many more Uniform Officers are we going to put in CID? This is rediculous!!!!!!! The crime rate is through the roof right now because Officers can't be proactive due to going from call to call. Now we are going to take 17 more off the road.

Dear Dekalb citizens if you wonder where your extra patrol units are they are all sitting behind desks. Dont expect to see marked cars in your neighborhood any time soon. On the flip side you can watch the "First 48" and see plenty of detectives posing for the cameras.

Just a hunch anon 9:59 but Im almost positive that Clark and Ron are both probably sitting next to you in roll call every day but you're just to slow to figure out who they are. Rock on Clark and Ron! Congrats on promos!!

Anon 5:50am

Learn to count.

Congrats to all the promotions.
And anon guess you did see the order that said only 1 was going to major crimes. Get a grip and do your job!

Anon 1:15, no you can't drive for the Director. He doesn't approve of retards getting behind the wheel. But you can study for a test and if you're lucky, get promoted.

Anon 550 am- "Has anyone seen all the transfers to CID? How many more Uniform Officers are we going to put in CID? This is rediculous!!!!!!!"

First- It's ridiculous with an "I" not "E". Learn how to spell and maybe one day you will be chosen for CID. You must first be able to write a court supplemental and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's not your strong point.
Second- I'm in CID and I don't sit behind a desk. Please, walk a day in my shoes but wait, you probably couldn't handle that. Do your job and stop crying like a little bitch. Are you doing your part to help deter crime?? I'm guessing you're to disgruntled to actually go out and be proactive. I sure hope you are not an FTO.

Wonder how long before they transfer the one that turned down the Sgt's promotion....smart move on his part with far too much too lose for 5% but one thing they don't like is dissension in the ranks. Good Luck!!

Great story. Compelling and rich.

Who turned down the promotion?

Anonymous said...

annon 9:59 you were one of the biggest complainers in uniform division. I guess when you go to cid you become a super cop. You like the transfers to cid so it takes the case load off you(lazy).

If the newly minted sergeant or lieutnant who decided to take a pass on the promotion was or is in CID, he was right to pass on the promotion.

If he took the promotion, he would have:
1) lost the benefit of a take home CID car,
2) lost the overtime associated with working in CID
3) have to deal with the headaches that come with the promotion..
4) have to rearrange his/her part time jobs to accommodate a new schedule.... if he/she were
able to still work them after the promotion.

5% is not worth the promotion if that was his/her situation.

Hopefully the new Lt being spoke of in this thread will be shipped far far away from Center..just my opinion.....

Anonymous said...

Good job SK and Chow! Well deserved!

Anonymous said...

Anon 1034...How'd you know I was a super cop??!!!! I try to keep that on the down low but I guess the cats outta the bag now!! You're welcome to tag along. Maybe you'll learn a thing or 2 or 3 ;) Well...off to solve crimes. Now where did I put my cape??!

Anonymous said...

So what does this say about the people who took the promotion?

Anonymous said...

Yeah it's only 5%, but you can affect more officers if you have some rank. Think of all the things that you bitched about as a patrolman, but had no power to change. Getting promoted allows you to have a more positive influence on a larger number of officers, assuming that you are decent to start with. I agree that we should all have the $$$, but there are other things, for me at least, that make it worthwhile.

Clark and Ron are the same person and are monitoring the blog from a commissioners office.......

Wow so much mystery and intrigue about Ron and Clark. I'm thinking a cop/buddy movie is in order for Ron & Clark. Crockett & Tubbs, Cagney and Lacey, Griswold & Burgandy. Solving crimes and cracking jokes!
