Thank you for acknowledging Jonesy, he leaves behind two young children and a wife. Funeral arrangements are being made. He was a great man, outstanding Officer who at many times seemed more like a K-9 drug dog himself. He was a hard charger who went after dope boys and women & children abusers. Overall a really good guy with a heart of gold. He will be missed.

Yes this is very sad news, especially for a man so young with a wife and kids. I am not sure what happened with Austin but his tragic death reminds me of how this type of job takes a toll on us. We don't eat right, sleep right, or get enough good sleep with all the crazy hours and schedules. Not to mention the stress of the job. I am not sure what the answer is, but lets at least recognize the problem.

I'm sick of officers dying, and even though I have no idea of the circumstances of his death, it grieves me to know we have lost one of our own.
Officer Jones, Rest In Peace Brother.

Where was he buried? Some of us were unable to make the service and would like to place flowers on his grave.
