so the commissioners elected to give the new Chief a huge salary of 218,000.00, but they refused to implement the second phase of the decompression salaries for the officers. it is obvious that this department does not care about the officers and lie to us on a regular basis.
this chief was turned down by several agencies in Florida because of all the controversy she was involved in.
I still work for Miami-Dade I know for a fact an entire division requested a transfer because of how she ran the division and how she ruined the morale and encouraged officers to give her any dirt on other officers. She is a cancer and will ruin your agency.
So the Chief makes more money than the Public Safety Director who is her boss. I guess it’s the politics that I will never understand. Why not make her the Director and solve all the problems under the Public Safety Director control if she is that great.?
She was chosen by the CEO and not the Public Safety Director, He wanted someone else and was told she was the new chief. No agency in Florida wanted her but Dekalb did and agreed to pay her 218,000. I am worried about the state the department is in, and I fear things are about to get worse.
For those of you who have worked here a while know that no matter who the chief is , they are just a lapdog for the commissioners. Who knows maybe she will see through Chief Yarbrough’s self centered egotistical I am smarter than anyone pompous attitude and demote him or push him out the door. He should go into politics he would do great with all the lies and fake smiles he gives. He is a hypocrite the way he acts like a Godly man then treats people like garbage. He s not the only one most of the command staff have traded in morales and dignity for rank and power.. lets see if Chief Ramos cleans house or s just here to get a check.
Sounds like someone is jealous of a certain asst. Chief. Or just put in place by them.

If I was someone who wanted to be absolutely bat shit crazy then I would definitely be jealous of Mike Yarbrough. He is as nutty as anyone who has ever worked at the DKPD. He is a shining example of everything that is wrong and dysfunctional with this department.
Ole Mike Yarborough.....it's soooo past time for this man to go. Gotta say, I've never known anyone who was a bigger Hypocrite than that man. He truly believes in his own greatness and thinks no one can do it better than him. It's time for you to get on that John Deere Tractor and ride off into the sunset, and dammit boy get a haircut, you look like Vinnie Barbarino...."So up your nose with a Rubber Hose".
Chief Yarbrough is the only member of the command staff that has truly worked in every division and almost every unit within this department. He reached his rank by hard work and dedication. He did not ride on the coat tails of other like so many people in that department has. Harden and Wallace were protected and promoted by Conroy, Carlin was promoted from Lt . To major by Alexander. Padrick was carried by O’Brien. Don’t hate a man for accomplishing goals other can’t.
Damn sounds like Sgt. White is mad about some people talking about his chief, it’s ok Sgt. The chief will protect you but the truth is he is a short timer and will be gone soon. He needs to go because he has zero respect from the troops.
